I'm not driving my car for eight weeks - should I connect a smart charger to the battery?
I’ll soon be going into hospital and they say it will be around eight weeks. During this time my 2021 petrol Discovery Sport will be parked on the drive and not driven. My concern is the battery, (the car’s a MHEV). I have a C-Tek smart charger and I’m wondering whether I should connect it up before I go into hospital or wait until nearer the time I start using the car.

C-TEK smart chargers are designed to not only revive batteries that are very low on charge, but also maintain batteries and keep them at their optimum condition whatever their starting point, so we would suggest parking up your vehicle and leaving it connected for the entire period. The C-TEK will automatically restore it to its optimum state and keep it there until you return.
