1991 Mazda Mx-5 (Eunos) Fan Control... - waldenyid2007
My mums mazda mx5 overheated in traffic yesterday and after getting the AA guy out he concluded that the Fan control Switch was broken. This meant that the fan never came on when it was suppose to and thats why it overheated. He couldnt, however, find where the fan control switch was located on this particular car. Does anyone know?

Thanks,

Matt

look on the radiator for the switch
there is also a relay in the 2nd fuse box under the bonnet (relay 3)
this information is for guidance only though as your car is a grey import

I have read.... Jumpering TFA to GND in the disgnotic plug should start the fan. Thermoswitch is on top of the thermostart housing I think.

some very useful info inc circuits (a US site, so beware when they refer to "passenger side"

yeah we have no problem getting the fan on.. we can just turn the air con on anyways so that shows the relay is fine. Just needed to know where the switch was that actually tells it to come on is. thanks, matt.
