I am having a problem with a non working reversing light on a kangoo. I have tested the bulb and the socket - both OK as is the earth connection to the lamp cluster. The fuse also covers the rear wiper and lights on buzer which are both working. Think it may be the gearbox switch but I can't find it. Any help out there ?

Just about to buy 4 new Goodyear NCT5s. Used then before and have been very happy.
An odd pricing aspect at Elite tyres. 195x65x15" H speeds are £50-47p, but at V speed they are cheaper at £46-94p.
I know V speeds have a higher speed so I assume they are safer, BUT are they noisier, wear more or have any other disadvantages?
Why would one not always go for the higher speed even though I will get nowhere near the quoted speed?
Any ideas? Read more

Why? The ratchet is probably set at a low torque figure and the torque wrench hopefully set at the final torque required.

Mad Maxy

... are they allowed to park and start snapping? I read somewhere that it needs to be somewhere legal, ie where you or I could park and not get nicked.

True? If so, there was one operating on the wrong side of the law in Aylesbury this pm. Read more

thats a list of all camera van locations in london boroughs - not sure of how up to date it is though.

I myself have a question if you are snapped by one of these camera vans what is their general procedure? do they pull you over for an on the spot fine or do they sending you an NIP by post?

Driving through Belgium towards Holland yesterday I overtook a Latvian registered car transporter carrying six GB reg'd cars all in salvage condition.

What the motivation for taking a G reg 520 and five other heaps that have been written-off all the way to Latvia (or was it going that far?) Read more

Think about it this way: when was the last time you saw a rusty import?

The whole idea that Japan's weather is so much better than ours to warrant lesser rustproofing in the first place is silly to begin with. They have heavy snow in winter, and they're an island like we are so plenty of coastal sea salt..

Hi. I have an Audi A4 cabrio. '06 model 4 cylinder2.0 Tdi. Since purchase , filter has been a nightmare. Clogs up on short and repetitive town journeys.Broken down 3 times to be towed away. Had new ECU, new filter, new sensors. Light is still coming on. Been in over 15 times to Audi. they say car cannot have filter removed. I love car but hate filter with passion. C
I have even written letter saying they may have to refund for car if it breaks down again.
Can I buy an additive for fuel? Is their insistence that car will not run without filter correct?

In summer 2004 there was a shortage of the EOLYS fluid used in PSA diesels and their particulate filters, to the extent that many cars were put out without the filter fitted so there is a way round the problem. But the car has to have one fitted if it was registered after 1 st October 2004, in order to be EURO IV compliant SFAIK.

G'Day All,
friend has a 96 Primera, recon alternator and battery fitted. Sometimes ABS "not working" light comes on then ignition "warning red light" appears at low revs (after taking foot off accelerator).
One suggestion is voltage control unit faulty - any suggestions, pse?

This could only happen in America.

In Orlando, Florida some traffic cops have been dressing up as elves and operating speed guns on a 45mph limited road. Full details and photo at:
