Buying a SUV auto - Nissan or Jeep?

I am looking to buy either a Nissan Qashqai 1.2 petrol automatic or a Jeep Renegade 1.4 multijet petrol semi-automatic, I only do about 10,000 miles, which car would be best?

The Qashqai is a CVT auto; the Renegade has an automated manual. I haven't driven either but have driven the Qashqai 1.2DIG-T manual in which the engine is just about adequate but no ball of fire.

I'd be interested to see how the 1.2 CVT performs on the M6 with four passengers aboard. I have a feeling that the Renegade will be Fiat's next big thing after the 2007 500. Could get fashionable.

Small yet impressively spacious SUV. Good quality interior. Refined and quiet even at speed. Usefully large boot and wide opening rear doors.
