Overall reliability

Solid, reliable, economical and excellent paintwork, rust resistance and build quality

previous owner traded in @55000 miles with ABS ring broken (as HJ comments) ,worn wheel bearing and suspension wear-I suspect it had received a hard life(filth and scratches in boot etc)
Had wiper ware @70000 miles-(as HJ comments)-cheap parts and labour. Otherwise no problems.
Original exhaust and battery week at 10-11 years old-a good life for both.
Has now done 145000 miles -no creaks or rattles( except on heatshield). Fuel economy brilliant-varies between 45-50 mpg. Lazy petrol engine totally different to 1999 on higher torque engines. Engine will pull from very low revs on minimal accelerator travel yet does not knock or labour. Is also significantly quieter than 1999 on models.
I have great respect for the engineering and quality of this car
