Good morning
I have as Seat Alhambra I-tec which has been repaired due to a minor accident, despite a decent looking job the parking sensors and rear view camera no longer appear to work.
They are supposed to activate automatically when reversing but no longer do so, my guess being as the sensors have not been re-attached. A thumb through the handbook says use the switch on the centre console, but no joy from trying this ??
Do any owners our there have any advice or should I take it back to the bodyshop so they can sort it?
Thanks in advance Read more
Here in south East Dorset there are vast numbers of deer, mainly sika but also other types. There are so many that a lot of culling takes place (at least 1200 are culled in the Isle of Purbeck alone annually) and they can be seen in herds during the day by the side of main roads. The answer on some roads is proper deer fencing, something that was done on the A31 in the New Forest years ago in places but now needs doing on the A35 especially on the Puddletown bypass where a number of deer have been killed recently. It's common to see them by the side of the Upton bypass a 70 mph dual carriageway (also A35) right through the day. Just off the bypass on the Sandford road the fence is 12ft high and it's common to see herds of deer there any time of day but they're contained within a massive disused factory site. Read more
Great post with some great advice thank you.
Plenty of deer on the verge of the a35 puddletown bypass this afternoon however plenty of idiotic car and motor bikes taking no precaution or notice in fact the opposite speeding up and pointlessly over taking just before the dual carriageway ends and merges into a single file lane. I despair sadly No shortage of impatient utter m****s on our roads who pay no attention to the unpredictable risks deer pose to inattentive road users. Rant over.

Hello all,
I am a disabled driver and considering rejoining the Motability scheme. I am interested in the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV in Design trim. My monthly allowance of £330 will go towards the car, including insurance, servicing, parts and labour. At the end of the 3-year lease Motability customers are usually offered to purchase the car (dependent upon their having done low miles and following the scheme's rules). I'm trying to do the maths on the scheme and comparing it to other leasing/purchase options.... Read more

Thank-you very much. It worked!
Is this a scam www.ukusedcarsltd.com? Very cheap repossessed cars, but you have to pay up front, then the car is delivered to you and you have 3 days to give it back or keep it?...sounds scammy...

Some years ago, I had quite serious back pain. My GP recommended I make an appointment with the man who'd helped with his own back problems. When I saw him, the man was amazing, a fully qualified Osteopath. It took a few sessions, but he more or less cured me. The Osteopath told me that whenever he had a new client, he watched them when they arrived, and when they left his practice, he wanted to see how they got out of, and back into their cars. He said that a prime cause of back problems was drivers twisting as they got into and out of their car seats. The correct way is to lower yourself onto the seat, then to swivel your whole body, drawing your legs in as you do it. This is of course a simplified solution to a complicated problem, but my saviour was certain that it helped the vast majority of his clients with back problems, they were damaging their spines in a way that can often be repaired. As a medical professional in the business, I saw a lot of people who reported having aches and pains when driving. Some simply desired a change from their business car because they didn't like geometry dash lite. For the most part, they were just unpleasant.
Hey guys, thought I'd try this forum as getting no luck else where!

Hi there,
I just recently bought a Mazda 2 from a private seller and after a few weeks of use the battery charging light has come on. I tested the voltages across the battery and alternator and they were both fine (12.3v and 14.5v respectively). I also checked the majority of the fuses in the car which were also fine. I then took the Car to an auto electrician who advised that there was electrically nothing wrong with the car and it was likely a computer issue. He said I could take the car to a Mazda dealer to get diagnostics run but that this would likely be expensive so he didn't recommend it.... Read more
I get that too, but intermittantly, as in, "intermittant fault".
Pretty sure an ECU is not involved in my case, since I don't have one....
First item to check, do the reverse lights work? If yes, then there is probably something adrift behind the bumper. Take it back to the repairer.
