Bought a Citroen C5 2L HDI diesel 2006 model. When you unlock the doors using the fob the boot opens aswell ie not just unlocks the boot but clicks it open so you have to shut it everytime before you drive off. You would expect the fob to unlock the boot BUT NOT physically open it so you have to close it. Any suggestions on remedy or cause ? Thanks in advance. Read more

I had a BMW 3 series (2000 reg) earlier which I replaced couple of years back for an Audi A4 2010 model.

I rented 3 series 2016 manual model few months back and I loved driving it.... Read more

This can only be a personal choice. I've wavered between manual and automatic for many years and have had several of each.

You do need a powerful engine if you want an automatic and still enjoy driving; anything below 2 litres will be a bit of a slug with automatic (although fine if your driving style is leisurely or you only drive in towns). I have a Volvo V60 2-litre diesel automatic which goes very well and will go even better when it's fully loosened up. Most diesel engines don't give of their bet until they've done about 10,000 miles. ...

I've run a Discovery1 on LPG for 10 years, and thought I'd make a video sharing some lessons learnt about some common faults and maintenance issues, maybe useful to someone with the OMVL dream xxi LPG system.

Came home from work this morning to find a PCN from the wonderful company that is ParkingEye. I have no intention to pay the notice as no offence (alleged overstay ) has been committed and secondly the pictures show two different cars and two registrations one on entry is my car the one on exit has a different registration and is a completely different car. Any one els had dealings with this doggy company? Read more

It was in Kent. I can't remember the exact branch but, he went in to get something on the special offers and they didn't have it so they just left. A while later he got the PCN in the post. I have no idea if they ask for reg number at checkout or not.

The Lidl at Ashford has 90 minutes free for Lidl shoppers. Sometimes I go in for one item, if they havn't got it I am in there for 2 minutes. I just go to the till and explain, give them my reg number. No problems. Just follow the system....

I am looking to buy a good sized SUV to replace a Honda CRV that I have recently had nothing but issues with (long story which I will not bore you with).

In looking at a few options I like the respective merits of the RAV4 and am pretty familiar, and comfortable with, Toyotas having owned a few of them. The one I am looking at is Invincible spec, 2.2 Auto, 14 plate with 17k on the clock, FSH and looks a nice car. Drives well.... Read more

Funny you should say that - I was in one of their dealers today and they were grumpy sods :-).

I think I'll pass on the Mitsi and go with the Toyota - it's what I know and I must admit I have a very strong affinity with them despite them not being the most aesthetically pleasing. They just work (I hope!)....

Help I have a Mk4 V5 Golf after running for about 15 minutes the engine cuts out and the emissions warning workshop light flashes up. It then will not start again for about ten minutes. It then starts again fine but after a few minutes it does it again and takes another ten minutes before it starts again. Any ideas anyone.

Cheers. Read more

Fitted a new crank sensor. No more problems.

Make sure you get one with correct length leads. The one I got was too short

Just after a bit of advise really,am looking at buying a 2009 toyota corolla verso (petrol),has anyone experienced any high oil consumption issues with these cars? Read more

galileo

Owned two and my experience is No the oil consumption is virtually nothing.

I had a 2003 and a 2005 Corolla, neither used any oil between 10,000 mile services. Wife's two Yarises also used no oil.
