Just looking into getting hold of the materials to do a 'fluids' service on my new CRV, and cannot believe the amount of discussion online about using OEM Honda coolant.

Is it really that critical?... Read more

For reference, Yeomans Honda of Guildford had all fluids available over the parts counter.

Different dealers work these things out differently: but very often the dealer contribution is the same thing as the discount that you're negotiating.

If you're going for a PCP, what you're ultimately negotiating is the price you'll pay per month. ...

WARNING- My wife and i were subjected to a 60 minute wait for luggage yesterday at Luton after our Monarch flight touched down "on time". This is exactly what happened to us a few months ago--thus the situation clearly remains an issue. Airport blamed "operating difficulties". The arrivals area was not particularly busy at 13.00--so perhaps the staff were "at lunch"? goodness knows what this will be like in peak july/august?

Have complained to Monarch--who surely carry more weight than just me.... Read more

If you can travel light and manage with a carry on bag, you save a lot of time and frustration.

Hi,

I'm having a bit of an issue with the Electric power steering on my car... It started off with the car having heavy steering that went on and off at totally random times, it was on more than it was off. it then went totally downhill with the steering staying on for the first five minutes of the journey and not coming back on again until I turned the car off and starting again the next day. now it works for split random seconds as and when it wants. I've had a second hand pump put in to replace the old knackered looking one. It was bought on ebay and a ' guaranteed' working item. A new battery was put in and alternator has been checked along with the relays and fuse box. There are no warning lights on the dashboard and the car drives as normal just minus the PAS. Do you think you could help at all please ? my mechanic said he doesn't have a clue what is causing the problem unless it was it a dodgy wire but the culprit is more than likely the ECU ?! I am very limited on funds due to replacing other parts etc so if it is that then It's game over. Any suggestions would be massively appreciated Read more

Ok thanks for your help. Fingers crossed its one of the wires.

I find the lack of traveller sympathisers in this thread refreshing.
