V Reg car, 130,000 miles on the clock. I was driving on the motorway recently, steady speeds in 5th gear for about 3 hours straight. The clutch biting point has been right on the edge since about 70,000 miles (thats as far as i can remember..)
Pulling off the motorway the other evening it moved to within an inch of the floor. What could cause this? I drove it the next day and the biting point was still in this odd place. The pedal had a totally dead feeling (hard to describe) above the new biting point. Drove again today and the clutch is back in its normal place. Any idea what would cause this? Read more

I only purchased this Zafira last week and after putting it through an MOT it passed with flying colours. A £600 bargin...so far... When it was MOT the garage that did it did an error code check for me (I've used them for years and they are great!) There was no engine managment light on but when connected to te code reader the P0170 code came up. I have read a number of the chats on here in relation to the P0170 error code. All emission readings were passes and the Lambda reading was 1.03 with the HC at 4PPM although there is a slight hesitation at idle. Having looked at the rear silencer it does look quite rusty and worn so a replacement is on it's way. As is a fresh air filter.... Read more
The Zafira A is a really good all-rounder for not a lot of cash.Very few issues other than what you have experienced.Keep an eye on oil level,as these engines are known high users.Interestingly ,the later "B" model from around 2005 can be total money pits and not as reliable.

sounds like you had plenty of time to stop & enjoy the restuarants - I recall the drive from my youth with dad driving, and have driven myself both before the A26 and with the A26, the great advantage is to greatly reduce the journey time across France, get to the Alps / Switzerland & beyond so much more quickly - drivable in one day with mininal stops and keeping to the 130 kph speed limit (and not going faster as I found out once to my cost as I have mentioned before in previous threads).
Downside - well motorway driving all day is boring, tolls do add up (but saving in hotel bills) and motoring at 80mph does use more fuel than going at 50mph....
I am particularly interested in comfort. Which of the Mazda6 sport Nav or the Qashqai 1.5 Acenta Premium would you say gives the best ride on uneven surfaces. Read more
Just by coincidence, I was a passenger last week on a long journey in a 2015 Qashquai. I am not sure what model it was but it is the first time in many years that I had an aching bum. I couldn't believe it in a modern car! I have hired dozens of vehicles over the years and never had that problem. Apart from that, it seemed quite nice. The ride was OK and the Diesel engine was quiet. It was an auto but the changes were very smooth.

I have had a look in the Haynes manual and it says it has to be 'initialised' by your Citroen dealer if a new pump has ben fitted, which seems to suggest that if you are refitting the old one it doesn't.
I would think that anyone with a Lexia would be able to programme it for you. If you look on the French Car forum you will find a list of owners most of whom would oblige for a small fee or even free. I have one but am in the westcountry you may find someone local to you....

I brought a tata indica from eBay as a project
It's a protaype for the rover city 1.4. It's like a new car never been registered
I think the ecu is faulty but I have no way of testing it
I have contacted several repaired who say that can fix most ecu but they can't help
I have tried emailing tata in India but email bounces back

any help please having trouble with front discs brakes getting very hot garage telling me this is no cause to worry ,after 2 miles you cannot touch the discs and wheel is getting hot twice i have had scraping noise for about 30seconds then it goes away .only had car 2 months never noticed this problem untill two weeks ago

First things first:
DO NOT attempt to touch the brake discs after you have been braking. Brakes work by converting your cars kinetic energy to heat energy and then disipating it to atmosphere. So you would expect them to be too hot to touch after braking....

As mentioned further up, pull back the outer seal of master/slave if you can get to them to look for evidence of brake fluid
