One of my kids knocked the rear view mirror off the windscreen and I am damned if I can work out how to reattach it. Doesn't seem broken at all.

I think you will find that the plastic trim needs to be unclipped first before the mirror can be re-fitted.Looks like a locate and twist onto the screen base fitting. You may need to apply a little force to get the plastic trim off, they are usually a tight fit.Or run a hairdryer across it carefully to soften it up a bt.

Hi,
Same story as a lot of people: I had the gear box replaced in my 53 plate Fiesta and now the CD Radio is asking for a code. The code in the log book does not work. The model is 4500 RDS E.O.N. with serial number M121149.

The garage concerned aren't being very helpful at all, asking for £25!... Read more

Hi, can you help me? I've replaced the battery on my car this week and need to input the radio code. I found a key code and serial number in the manual folder. Serial number V005572. but when I input the code the display states that the code is incorrect. Read more

It is possible that the information in the audio manual you have is not the correct one for your car.You will need to establish the correct serial number for your radio and then either ask at Ford dealer or one of the radio code crackers on flea-bay.V codes not available on this forum.

Question Tyre Pressure
cjdavies

Never thought of it before in regards to tyre pressure with normal and full load.

What is considered a normal load? I have a spare tyre in the boot, what about saying 2 passengers in the back?... Read more

I sure here in the UK, checking tyre pressure once a month is OK. I hot countries bues and lorries vary the tyre presure during the day depending on tempresure. So the EU directive is helpful in parts of the EU.

I find that slightly over presure for my Ford Focus is best and I use an expensive meter which goes has increments of .1

Any members recommend some good tyres for the Mazda? Currently using Toyo Proxes R32 Read more

I realise this is an old thread but just changed the tyres on our Mazda 3 and they have transformed the car. Previously on Bridgestone and now switched to Yokohama. These are the Blue Earth ones and are noticeably better in the wet but, more importantly, are so much quieter. Long journeys are much more relaxed as a result and even the concrete sections of the M25 are bearable. Fully recommend them.

If you had the Bridgestone ER30s on your Mazda3 (it may depend upon which version you have, mk1 like mine, mk2 or mk3 [unlikely as all new ones are shod on Toyo Energy somethings]), then almost anything would be an improvement - as you'll see from the very poor reviews of that tyre on tyrereview.co.uk, they were noisy and very hard riding as well as poor in the wet. Mine were terrible for the last couple of years' use and felt like driving on flat tyres on rougher surfaces such as gravel-laid roads (horrible droning noise from the tyres) and had a couple of VERY hairy moments in the wet....

I have to choose a car from the following list for 30k (20k business and rest private) miles per year. Boot space not majorly important although I will occasionaly carry 2 dogs. BIK is roughly the same cost and business fuel will be covered by fuel card What would you recommend?

Hi,

I noticed that there is a diesel (disesl and oil) leak from where the injectors sit on the bore top, all inectors and injector seals were changed. After being changed, every thing went well with three injectors with completely dry surrounding, but the problen continued with injector No 2 which was replaced again by a good functioning one which was inspected by a specialist technician before fitting it in place, the proble went on with the leak from the same injector!... If by injector bore you mean where the injector fits into the head then you need the injector seats re cut.

Special injector seat cutter tool required....
