I have admitted in several posts that I am neurotic/obsessive about safety. How significant are the Euroncap results ? Obviously the main thing is to avoid a crash but, if it happens how big an effect does the car you are driving have on injuries.

A very perceptive post. I fully accept life itself is a risk. However, I prefer to control the ones I can - without it becoming ridiculous.
Basically one night driving home from work the toxic fume light started flashing and then once at home my front headlights wouldn't turn off had to leave them on by the morning car wouldn't start obviously drained the battery anyway got new battery etc went garage told needed new coils that's been done and sorted but lights still wouldn't work told fuse has blown one of the relays had to started to Melt and need a new fuse box.
Does this sound right in needing a whole new fuse box? And roughly how much should this cost also to fit it I have been quoted £350 is that good??? Read more
Not really repairable,the plastic housing and relay become one molten mess. A s/hand unit will be ok.

Some background...I received a NIP (within 14 days) relating to a speeding offence committed late July 2015, having genuinely no idea who was driving at the time as myself and my partner regularly take day trips to various skateparks accross the Southeast (2-4 per week - at the time we were both temporarily unemployed). I replied to the NIP stating that I could not remember who was driving but that it would either be myself or my girlfriend and asked for photographic evidence in order to ascertain who was driving at the time and from reading this site I also included her contact details, I also mentioned that (in an attempt of "reasonable diligence") I had spoken to my girlfriend and she could not recall who was driving, I had phoned the manager of a petrol station that I know we often refuel at, in order to ask for CCTV footage of the day the offence was commited so that if we did happen to fill up there on that day then we could see who was in the drivers seat, as the location of the speed camera is about 2 miles from this station, so if we filled up there then the person driving off the forecourt would have been driving at the time of the camera flash. No such luck, the station manager informed me on the phone that the CCTV is only available for the previous 2 weeks and we were 1 week too late. I also informed them that as I could not be sure who was driving and it is an offence to lie, that I did not want to guess and be wrong if in fact the pictures showed who was driving.... Read more
I think basically "The defendent was identified as they have been nominated by another" is a standard legal term you must fully understand.
As pointed out above the documents must be served on time which from what you have said is the case. Every thing else is less important just make sure all corospondants are filed with the court, regardless of quest when and if received....

That's exactly what it is, it's a Mute button. It mutes the sound of the audio when you want to use your phone or for any other purpose which requires audio silence.
Push once to mute audio, push again to unmute. That's it!

Stereo is 6000CD and after pressing 1&6 buttons together the stereo serial number appear to be V072128.
Any help to get the stereo code would be great, thanks !!

I have a parking ticket from Essex car parking partners tickets it said Civil Parking Notice £120 for park on permit residence space 2 weeks ago. I went back look at that road where I have park before there is no white or yellow line on road and no sign on every lamp post but the only one sign was on pole up to a 8 foot high on very sharp bent on junction that everyone can missed it.
My friend said ticket type Civil parking notice is cowboy and scam I should be ignore it, but before I decide to ignore I want like advice if I should or should not ignore before I end up mind go to court. Read more

You got your parking notice through the post? I don't think a photo is necessary, though it is often included. (I assume you did park when and where they say?) Details like that will not get you off the hook....

Gear box oil has to come out to change the clutch,
it just pours out from the drive shaft hole when the shafts are removed....
I wonder if I can legally tow a Morris Minor which is out of comission behind and with the use of an "A" frame on B or even A class roads for a short distance after purchase to my residence, if weight is a restriction I also have a VW Sharan but would need to kit out with tow bar, thanks, Mike.
