Has anybody had trouble with the 4 wheek alignment on this car? Mine has ripped through a set of rear tyres in 14000 miles. Terrible uneven wear from the outside edge inwards. Only the last inner tread channel leagal. No excessive weight, no tow bar, no scratches or damage to alloy wheels and only one service at supplying dealer from new.
Following an alignment check camber and tracking seriously out on the rears plus incorrect camber on O/S/F. Warranty will not pay for adjustments so £300 for tyre and £140 for adjustment down to my pocket.... Read more
Peugeot warranty say this is normal wear & tear and not prepared to pay a penny. All 4 wheel are pointing in different directions and all with different camber angles. 4 wheel alignment is not part of the pre-delivery inspection and is never checked on any service. Last Peugeot I'll ever have.
I have removed seven T25 screws (2 at rear, 3 across the middle, 2 at front) still the cover does not want to be removed. Are there more fastenings to undo/remove or it just sticking please? Read more

Checking prices is easy. Do a search on the VW website and see if it appears reasonable for the age and mileage.
If the 51,000 mile car is thousands less than an equivalent model with average mileage it may be worth a punt. If its not why would you?

Hi i replaced my alternator because it wasn't charging my battery and i broke down. Well new one fitted charging now at 13.8v and does go up when i rev, the battery is ok tested at 12.5v with engine off and holds it is the calcium type aswell.
problem is my battery light still comes on, i took advice and unplugged battery for couple of minutes and reconnected, had nothing turned on for 15 minutes then started car again, the light came on again. confused it takes around 30 seconds for the light to come on every time i am not sure of the problem.... well i have looked at the connector and because i had a new one i replaced it anyways and had 500mm of acable to it so repalced bk as far as i could.
it has made no difference, and to top it off today my car wouldn't start either no power so looks like there is some sort of power drain and looks like i am mainly running on the battery power until it runs out anyways....
