HI, though this is not the done thing to talk of Roadrunners on here, it seems on searching the internet this is the best collective of knowledge online!
I run a kids charity and we're on our way to northern romania to work with some of the struggling communities there, and have had a problem.... Read more

Hi, New to HJ . I have owned my Vito 638 108 cdi for 4 years and has been great until last year when it developed a problem with speedo which I sent away to have it repaired and then another issue which kept putting it into limp mode now and then. Eventually solved that after many sleepless nights and a couple of sessions of warping the plastic. But now on my way to work last night it just stopped dead displaying EDC in red on dash (Serious I thought ) After a few attempts to restart I gave up and phoned the A A ( breakdown service not the other one even though I felt like it) After an hour and a bit they eventually turned up and it just started. Has anyone had the same problem or similar and solved it ? Please let me know. I am slowly losing faith in my Vito as the more I read about them the more faults they seam to have. Read more

I use Auto Glym Fabric roof cleaner every couple of years on Porsche canvas roofs. Cleans it up nicely and helps to proof it according to wot it says on the tin.
Think it about £25 a go but this is enough for 2 sessions so 4 years
Hi, forgive me for my complete lack of knowledge please :-)
I have a MK3 Ford Mondeo Estate and the rubber seal which fits on the bottom of the door "frame" (told you I'm a novice!) inside the car has split.
I am hoping to replace it myself in order to save cash.
The question is, what is the name of the part I require? It is on the driver's side, rear door (probably caused by kids using it to climb into the car).
Is it relatively straightforward to fit? I am loathe to pay £50 per hour to fix a non-mechanical issue!
Thanks in advance... Read more
If buying a car at a large car auction privately, is it possible to obtain the full V5 or the green slip when purchased so that the car can be taxed for the drive home? Or does the auction send off the complete V5 to the DVLA? If they do, how will it be possible to tax the car to drive it home as most cars at auction don't seem to be taxed. Read more
I've noticed of late diesel fumes in the car, especially when stationary. Would this suggest one of the injector seals has gone?
Sounds ridiculous but I tried taking the plastic engine over off o view but couldn't get the b***** thing off!
A friend had a focus with the same problem so wondering if it could be the same thing? Read more
I take it you mean exhaust fumes and not fuel, could be an injector leak or one in the exhaust manifold/pipe.
Hi all,
I have some damages on my car from previous owner. Could you please tell me your opinion about them and possibly including your suggestions towards repairing & costs?... Read more
I was already ok for 500 :) Thanks.
Easytronic vauxhall corsa 2002 - "F" reading on dashboard. I have changed the crankshaft and camshaft sensors and I still have the same problem. I have also checked to see which code the F is referring to by holding down both pedals and counting the flashing spanner icon, however the icon continously flashes meaning there are no codes stored. Any ideas what the problem could be? Read more
something to do with the clutch, at a guess. It has to be electronically calibrated so the gearbox works.
It really wants the injectors pulling out & testing, its possible the pump is fragmenting and contaminating the injectors and preventing them from shutting off causing knocking and white smoke. They can be tested before replacing.
What year is it as I wonder if its has an adblue system as they suffer with the addblue injector crystalizing up ? or incorrect fluids added in the adblue tank as they are not secure....
