How much longer will the panda be fitted with this engine? Will it be replaced with the T-jet? Read more
I think it`s going to be replaced with the twin cylinder engine - wth solonoid operated valves
We were very happy to buy a Panda with the old FIRE engine a few months back - might not have bought it if the new engine was fitted.
A friend of mine has recently purchased an interesting Renamel Car Badge. There are photographs of the badge, together with the information that's known so far, here:

I think you'll find the missing letters are - r a p - and that the crude logic of the nanny filter is causing the problem.
Alternatively try this...
Can anyone help, I have a mercedes benz e220 n reg, if I leave it in direct sunlight or heat it struggles to start but when it is not sunny or a hot day it starts straight away, could this be a faulty automatic choke, overnight it starts fine would be grateful of your help... Read more
Any possibility this is a vapour lock problem - petrol evaporating in the fuel system when hot?
Does anyone have any suggestions on what to look at to solve a jammed on rear window heater. The light comes on and stays on, at first i could turn this back off but the switch no longer makes any difference. Comes on straight after engine started, might go off after a while which i'm assuming is the heater sensor or timer kicking the relay back off.
have replaced the switch - no change... Read more
I wonder if I am the only one who like to drive in silence? OK sometimes I will put on the radio, especially when tired. I do not have any CDs in my car.
But it is for me kind of pleasant to drive in silance, the engine singing away.... Read more
You're not alone, Julie: I find there are times when I like to listen to music, or the news (or indeed the News Quiz), but other times when it's relaxing just to drive in silence.
If I'm driving the Z3, hood down, there's not a lot of point having the radio on - and I don't find I'm missing anything, not least because the sound of a BMW straight-six is special enough....

Walker, Timax, or Bosal are available but which is the best product? I have received different responses from exhaust fit garages. One said Bosal should last a few years longer, another said Walker boxes were better fabricated and had less warranty claims, a Bosal stockist appeared genuine when saying these systems tended to fit better.
Prices are similar although some garages are quoting more for Bosal, and some are saying they may no longer be able to get the Bosal parts.... Read more
<In my experience these stainless steel systems do not last as long as the original systems.>
I don't believe it! After replacing several tailpipes - possible timax - on my 1980TR7 I eventually bought a stainless steel exhaust from Rimmer bros in Sep 1993. It's still going strong nearly 17yrs later....

It was a hot summer Morning as I sat by the Cathedral, backed by a little patch of grass, over the graves of the worthy - these two hundred years gone.
You hear them on the final approach, that whoof whoof - as in soft feathers beating the air - the delight of childhood with their little ringed ankles and excitement waiting for the eggs to hatch and to see the chicks.... Read more
Animals and birds seem to adapt to deformity from birth or deformity from trauma so much better than us Humans, and they do it on thier own. They dont have hospitals, social care, or rehabilitation as such (unless they are pets) they just get on with it - do or die! - tis natures way! Of course Mans "dirty modern day habits" such as food strewn about the streets, can help them to some degree, especially at first while they learn to adapt.
Would be interesting to see how "we" would cope in the same circumstances!

Blondewhatsit - are you the same person as Claireclk? If not, she may be a little upset that you are responding as if you are she.
