Review: Ford Maverick (1993 – 1997)

Decent off-road ability. Long-wheelbase version seats seven.

Doesn't drive very well on the road. Wheel bearings can wear prematurely.

Ford Maverick timing chain rattle

When I start my Ford Marvierick in the morning I hear a noise coming from the front of the engine. When I put my foot down on the gas the noise will stop, and it will only continue when the car slows down.
Might be the timing chain tensioner.
