Just bought a used car from a dealer, now discovered problems - where do I stand with getting it fixed?

I bought a used 2011 Ford Mondeo for £6795 from a dealer at the weekend, but only after collecting it on Tuesday have I noticed a couple of problems. Firstly, one of the exhaust hanging brackets is corroded and has snapped, just where it joins to the exhaust pipe back box. Secondly, the windscreen has a stone chip on the edge, just inside the range of the wipers. Where do I stand with asking the dealer to repair/replace these? I should have noticed these on initial inspection when I bought the car, but unfortunately I missed them.

A customer is not legally expected to notice every fault with a car before buying it. The dealer remains liable. So take it back and demand these two faults be corrected. Law here: www.honestjohn.co.uk/faq/consumer-rights/
