Ford Mondeo - dpf removal 6 Nov 2011 (Forum)
Hi, Gents anyone put me right on this one, Ford mondeo Titanium 2.2 running as a cab so milage is racking up quickly, in an effort to pre-empt the inevitable failure of the dpf i have been looking at having it removed. The are legions of companies advertising this service, but the thing that drives me mad is this desire to remap and download software to block the regen cycle, as far as i know the regen is only initiated by the sensors at either end of the dpf sensing the pressure difference between what is going in and what is coming out. -

Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Titanium 163 BHP - Brand new mondeo with diesel knock 30 May 2011 (Forum)
I bought a brand new Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Titanium 163 BHP from a Ford dealer in April. I took care to run it in as the manual instructed and completed 1800 miles before I took it for it's first proper drive. I did a round trip 120 miles and worked the car fairly hard. -
Ford Focus - Offset pedals - there anything that can be done? 2 Apr 2011 (Forum)
I have recently bought a Ford Focus, that I am reasonably happy with in most areas bar two. One is the hopelessly cheap interior (which I can live with), but the other is the offset pedals. This is something I didn't pick up on the test drive, and I think I was blinded to it by the universally positive reviews of this car (reviews that, having driven it for a while, I don't necessarily agree with, but that's another story). -

Ford Mondeo - dealer sales conditions. are they normal 25 Sep 2010 (Forum)
I'm looking at an ex demo car at a Ford dealership. Just a few aspects that I'm a little surprised about from a dealership. Firstly a £70 admin fee. I'm not wanting finance, the car has been theirs since new, so why are they adamant there has to be a fee? -

Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - 05 1.6 General Query: Heated Front Windscreen 2 Dec 2009 (Forum)
Hello everyone hope you can help, I bought my mk6 fiesta in the summer and have now just found out (as I'm sure many people do at this time of year) that my heated front windscreen doesn't work correctly. from what i understand the passenger and driver side are split. it manages to de-mist quite a large chunk (but not all) on the passenger side but only a couple of thin lines on the drivers side. does anyone know of any troubleshooting steps i could take before i hand it over to Ford for them to charge me through the you know what. i've seen other posts where people say about checking the relay, checking the earth, checking the connections but from what i understand their HFS wasn't working at all. -
Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - 06 2.0 Engine systems fault 24 Nov 2009 (Forum)
The wipers/lights/indicators were OK but now I had no starter with the message 'engine systems fault' on the display. The car was towed to the main Ford Dealer who subsequently declard that water had been found in the fuse box and that would be £540 to replace. I had checked for water before taking it in and everything was bone dry. I towed the car away and am now left pondering the problem. -
Ford Mondeo IV (2007 - ) - 09 2.0 Harsh on 18" alloys - advice on change to 13 Oct 2009 (Forum)
Would this make a significant difference? Would the Titanium X be OK on smaller wheels (offset, brakes etc)? Should I get genuine Ford alloys? Should I sell the OE 18" wheels and tyres or keep for refitting when I change the car? Any suggestions for a nice quiet make of tyre but not sacrificing safe handling and reasonable wear? Will a change of wheels improve economy? -
Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - best place to buy car mats? 12 Oct 2009 (Forum)
Hi, After reading the advice in HJ's CBC breakdown, this forum and What Car? magazine over a period of many months, I eventually bought a black Ford Focus LX 1.6 petrol (113 bhp), 2006 06 reg, from Carcraft in Staines, Chertsey. I am basically happy with the car except for its slightly boring interior, handbrake on the left hand side, and apparently poor fuel economy (but having said that, I mainly do short journeys in London).
