• scimitar brakes sticking on 12 Jan 2006 (Forum)
  I have a 1974 reliant scimitar gte se5a. It has a lockheed remote servo on a single line braking system. When i press the brake pedal lightly, they stick on slightly and eventually (3secs or so) come off again. Alternatively, when they are slightly stuck on I can release them by pressing hard on the brake pedal.

  I recently renewed all of my brake components on my 306td front discs and pads and rear shoes and drums, i also renewed and bled the brake fluid but my brakes still aren't brilliant. im wondering if there is anything else i can do to improve them?

  Quick question for the mechanical experts. I'm about to change the brake pads on my Audi Coupe (1991, twin pot front calipers, ABS). I have read in a couple of places that with ABS systems you should not force the pistons back into the brake caliper unless the brake bleed nipple is open, otherwise you will trash the ABS pump.
