Heres a short question
How often should brake fluid be changed.

Assuming we're not talking about Citroen LHM fluid, the usual answer is every 2 years or as directed in the service manual.

The problem is the fluid is hydroscopic (I think that's the word) so it absorbs moisture from the atmosphere and becomes more liable to boiling and vapour-locks under stress.

Of course, a *real* expert will be along in a minute!

Plus moisture will sit at low points and rot your cylinders from the inside out. I've just rebuilt all four calipers on my MX5 and the crud that was on and behind the pistons was 'orrible.
