All, My 'V' reg modeo has had a flashing brake light for about 3 months - I top up the brake fluid, and the light goes away - after about 4-5 weeks, it flashes again, and I add more brake fluid. Could this just be a leakage issues, or is this a symptom of some other problem? -

Ford Focus MK1 - Brake Pads 17 Jul 2019 (Forum)
I'm fitting new front pads to my Focus and a friend told me to rub off the black paint to expose the metal underneath the hooks of the backing plates in order to ensure smooth movement where the hooks rest on the brake caliper grooves. This is because the paint can melt causing the brake pads to stick resulting in uneven pad wear. What do you think? Normally I just clean up the brake caliper grooves ensuring they are smooth and apply a small amount of brake grease to them. -

96 Jeep Grand Vherokee - Brakes not releasing 29 Oct 2010 (Forum)
after a short period of driving brakes begin to bind and heat up. Further driving will heat pads and brakes extreme. Pedal moves up and begins to get tight requiring minimal pressure to syop completly, If slowing down at about 5mph brakes will self engage and bring vehicle to a stop then partially release. have tried complete brake bleed and fluid replacement, caliper replace, calip check, replaced proportioning valve, checked master cylinder, replaced ABS, now at a loss for ideas. -
KIA Sportage 2.0 diesel - disc brakes 12 Jul 2010 (Forum)

Renault Clio - Brake creep groan 26 Feb 2024 (Forum)
I have been hearing some groaning noise from my new automatic Clio hybrid at low speed when braking and moving off in start-stop traffic and on slopes. I have a habit of feathering off the brake to get a smooth stop. I came across a technical article on brake creep groan which explained the stick-slip phenomenon between the brake pad and the disc at low speeds especially prone to automatic cars which results in low frequency vibrations. -
