KIA Sportage 2.0 diesel - disc brakes - tonie

Seven months ago my daughter's Kia Sportage (56 reg) was fiitted with new front discs and brake pads by a Kia agent.

Recently the front nearside disc had to be replaced again under the garage's warranty for parts and labour. It was distorted, causing steering judder under braking.

A friend tells me that it is normal practice to replace both discs at the same time, and never just one. Also, the brake pedal feels spongy since the disc was replaced. It can be pumped up with the brake pedal.

It certainly is required to fit two at the same time, the spongeness is they have not bled the system properly.Take it back at once and demand they put it right.
