  • Family car with small turning circle? 7 Jan 2022 (Forum)
I’m looking for a family car, preferably a small/mid suv, that’s easy to park/manoeuvre in and out of tight spaces. I’d also like it to have front and rear sensors and a reversing camera. Can anyone recommend any?
  • SsangYong Korando - Decision made 8 Nov 2021 (Forum)
Was offered a pre-reg (pre reg late sept 2021)  Ventura Manual in white, 6 speed, has front and rear parking sensors and reversing camera plus all the bells and whistles. The ELX base model that i was considering does not have the camera and sensors, or half leather  heated seats and no parcel shelf cover, or upper floor boot cover..

  • Kia Picanto - Camera for Cross Traffic Alert 8 Oct 2024 (Forum)
I would have loved a non wired solution to the issue, cones or such like, but I think I've run out of options.  Most cameras I see are for reversing, can anyone recommend any for pulling out (or even both, when I'm edging the car back in!?) Thank you so very much
  • Red light cameras 24 Jul 2006 (Forum)
The rear of my car was about 3 feet over the line but I hadn't driven far enough out for it to be dangerous. There was noone behind me so I reversed back over the line and waited for the filter light. The only problem with this (apart from the fact that I'm an idiot for daydreaming) is that there was a red-light camera!! Does anyone think I'll get a ticket?

  • Isuzu D-Max - "Check System" message, keyfob failure 5 Dec 2023 (Forum)
This occurred later the same day that I damaged the towbar socket, letting in water.  Three other faults also occurred the same day: 1) no reversing light when reverse gear selected.  2) no central display switching to rear camera when reverse selected (can switch to camera manually).  3) no GSI (gear shift indicator) number showing at all in any gear.

  • 2010 hyandai ix35 diesel - hyandai ix35 problems 4 Mar 2016 (Forum)
I have a 2010 ix35, a few weeks ago the speedometer started being erratic going up and down when driving and stationary. Then about a week later my reverse camera stopped working, no camera or beeping sound. Then two days ago the sat nav started playing up, the location of my vehicle is always wrong and the arrow on the map does not move when I'm driving.
  • More parking charges/cameras... 4 Sep 2009 (Forum)
No-one to be found. This took perhaps 10 minutes. Still no idea of what to pay. *Then* I noticed the CCTV camera recording number plates, and the "Off-site monitoring" notice.... I decided to park elsewhere, so carefully *reversed* out of the car park. This'll be interesting. Will the approx. 15 minute stay count as "parking"?

  • Operation of Electronic Handbrake Question 15 Feb 2020 (Forum)
About 3/4 of an hour before kicking out time so plenty of cars parked up, engines running, parent/grandparent on smartphone. Moan over. One car was a 19reg Mercedes A Class. Engine running, DLRs on, reversing lights on, image on reversing camera. Thought maybe only just parked up - although mum was on phone. 10 minutes later on my way back, the car was still there as previously described. I can't imagine the mum was sitting riding the clutch (road has slight incline) all that time.

  • CCTV enforcement. 22 Jan 2010 (Forum)
On another thread the conviction of people reversing up a slip road has been discussed. As there is never a traffic car when you need one, should traffic trained police officers, (not council jobsworths), use fixed CCTV cameras monitored in a control room to prosecute dangerous driving and other offences.
