None - Trailer Lighting 24 Jun 2013 (Forum)
I'm seeking some advice before shredding my wiring! I created a lighting board for a trailer using plyboard. The tail, brake and indicators all work without a problem. The foglight doesn't work at all and when I switch it on it takes power off the number plate light. I've chained the earth wire around the lights. In sequence it goes to the indicators, the brake/tail lights, foglight and then the numberplate light. -
Landrover Freelander - Clutch Life 1 Apr 2013 (Forum)
I know you are all going to say that it depends on how you drive, but if you are trying to get to most mileage out of it what would be possible. In order to get the best life out of it, i use the brakes to slow down rather than changing down through the gears, i use the handbrake to hold the car at a stop, i don't slip the cluch and i try to drive as smoothly as possible. So far the car has done 70000 miles (all by me) and i am on the origioal rear brake shoes and my second set of front pads. -
ford fiesta 98 encore - steering wheel movement and vibration 6 Feb 2013 (Forum)
The pulling to the left is felt more at low speed and appears to be timed to a full revolution of the front tyres, the vibration is felt more at speeds between 20 mph onwards . There is no pulling left or right or juddering under braking . I have changed tyres , discs and brakes, had a general look around at wishbones etc and all seemed intact and in resonable order. Any help/suggestions is appreciated...Thanks -

Wheels are not getting hot after a 25 mile journey. I have asked the garage to check the wheel bearings and that the brakes are not binding and thay say they are not. -

Audi A6 Alternator causing probs? 20 Dec 2005 (Forum)
I have to use the throttle to get it to fire and then it just dies. It's an auto so I have to keep revs on with right foot whist using left foot on brake to select a gear and it seems a little unsure about selecting the gear. When I release the brake pedal all is fine, although it does feel a bit hesitant when I pull away from a junction - just a split second delay between throttle and motion. -

Rubberneckers 8 Nov 2005 (Forum)
It had obviously just happened as there were no police and not even a tailback on that carriageway. Now I appreciate that Discovery driver was braking to avoid the car in front and the concertina effect due to reaction times had taken place, also that it is human nature to look at such incidents. However it seems to me that initially someone must have braked to get a better look at the van on fire.
