Absolutely fantastic

First thing I would say is ignore the clown with the 2 star review titled "Not as good as everyone thinks", who then adds an almost endless list of perceived faults. Not as good as everyone thinks? So we're all wrong then? He thinks other reviewers "can't have driven another car for long. I don't normally call out another review, but this is obviously not the sort of car most inexperienced drivers would buy, and almost every other review is 4-5 stars, mostly 5, so ask yourself if one person has got it wrong or has everybody else who reviewed it and loved it got it wrong? If I spend 10 grand on a car and it's r****** I'm going to say so, and I imagine everybody else would too.

Anyway, no need to worry because it's a fantastic drive. Great motorway cruiser but handles well on the country lanes, no problems over the years so therefore great build quality, lots of kit as standard and looks superb both inside and out (if he thought it was "not particularly well designed then why buy it in the first place?). It will use fuel if you use the endless power on tap, but it's also easy to get 40+ mpg out of it which for a big, heavy, powerful car is quite remarkable. It's extremely comfortable no matter how far you drive, and there's ample room in the back, despite the huge boot. Beats any German car hands down, and I've had both BMW and Mercedes. In fact I think VW are better built than either of those, and my 5-Series was in the workshop so often that the dealer had it for longer than I did. I wish I had considered Jaguar years ago because those who just buy German without considering any alternative are missing a trick, as I did for a long time. If you're on the fence just buy one, they're fast, reliable, look great, sound great and put a smile on your face - something no other car I've had has done for years. This is the sort of car that will be sadly missed when we go all electric and I'll be keeping mine for as long as I possibly can. Love it to bits.
