Overall reliability

The best car I have ever driven.

I drive this Jaguar XF in a harsh Middle Eastern environment. It has never missed a beat. The ride is extraordinary and the brakes are immensely confidence inspiring. The engine is glorious and the automatic box by far the best I have experienced. I get about 14 litres per 100km, whatever that is in mpg, which for mainly urban driving in 40 degree heat is fine.
Style is subjective but I think this is a great rendering of the qualities that made the Mark 2 and the original XJ so seminal. I even like the grille.
I find the dashboard fairly uninspiring but it is clear and uncluttered and everything works.
This car has all the qualities that made Jaguar great and none of the weaknesses that made it the English Alfa Romeo for so long; desirable but bound to be unfaithful eventually..
The only car I would trade it in for is the new XJ.
