What is the best way to insure a car for a couple of months?
What is the best way to insure a car for a couple of months? My daughter is home from university for that time. We have use of a little 1.0 litre runaround, not owned by us. It is worth around 1000 pounds. She has passed her test but never been insured on her own.

Temporary car insurance policies are great for situations like this and usually offer full comprehensive cover. Average prices range from £263 for 4 weeks - though this price will depend on the driver and their experience. Alternatively, you could consider adding your daughter as a named driver to the owners policy, and pay the difference. However, it’s worth noting with this that if your daughter needs to make a claim, then it could affect the policy holder’s no claims discount.
