My Mrs has had a minor shunt with an RM lorry whose driver refused to get out of his cab to exchange details. Not sure yet if we even have the correct reg no. Obviously my Mrs livid but I do not believe it is even worth pursuing. The car is 19 years old and it is cosmetic damage which we will not be claiming for. However I do not want RM citing our reg no and making a claim against us without our insurer involved. Any input would be most welcome. Thank you. Read more
Your first thought probably right not worth pursuing and the insurers may write your car off. Was it a modern RM vehicle a lot get sold on. You need the reg number if this is going anywhere
I'm looking at buying the above car.
Got to be honest, my knowledge on cars is somewhat limited so I was wondering if anyone on here has any opinions and what I should be looking out for. It has a full MOT and has recently been serviced. Read more
OK back to the Hyundai coupe. It is not a bad looking car but not that roomy really a 2 seater. A 2litre should have taken the mileage easily and fuel consumption would not be unreasonable.. There are more practical cars and I would not discount a Cat D for this money. VED which lead us of is a factor and increases year by year. You have done the MOT checks so if its a coupe you want well Hyundai good enough

‘ 79p per kWh seems excessive….’
Sadly, it’s about the going rate for a public rapid charger.
Osprey actually went to £1 per kWH, expecting everyone else to go with them. No one else did, so they came back down again.
Seems like this might work as a rough check on staged assembly, but not sure what numbers to expect.
It IS discussed a bit ont nyet, but the context is generally US muscle cars, perhaps not directly comparable.... Read more
Thought it might help to decide whether the tight spot is tight enough to represent a problem. There is a point in the rotation noticably stiffer.
Academic though, cos It turns out I havnt got clearance for my (beam type) torque wrench anyway.
Someone`s just asked me if I know how revenue from speeding tickets is appropriated.
They say they`ve searched for the answer and drawn a blank.... Read more
In which case you are arguing for a 45 mph limit.

I sold a 2010 Corsa (just pre Covid) with a big hit and run dent. We had run it with the dent for a couple of years as the paint wasn’t compromised but we had a bodyshop quote when it was damaged for £500.
When I was selling I just took the Autotrader guide price and deducted the £500. I took pictures that made it clear that it was dented and that the price reflected this.
How much? In those far off days only £850. But we had originally bought it from a Car Supermarket in 2011 for £5400. How times change.
Yes it has been done before on here and I am sorry if I am boring some. At last MPs and the bike and scooter industry are waking up to the dangers of these Perhaps the fact that 3 teenagers have been killed riding illegal e-bikes in the last weeks and pedestrians have been killed and seriously injured by e-scooters, Every day now the popularity of these is becoming more apparent and the powers to be have as usual not considered the consequences and are now calling for number plates helmets and insurance for e-bikes. None of these things should be allowed to mix with pedestrians because it is obvious who will be worse off in a collision. E-scooters themselves are illegal except in authorised trials but these happen in pedestrianised situations. If people want to scooter why can't they do it manually like kids. As regards e-bikes the legal ones are being adapted to over ride the legal peddle version with kits that give them throttle control. When riding a push bike you are in much more control over relevant speed and handling. That is why a licence is required for a motorised bike. Just looking at some of these bikes they some are not designed for the speeds they can achieve. The question of illegal and reckless riding of both is something else and urgently needs the police and authorities to get a grip with. Read more
We cannot, as a society, simply right their deaths off as collateral damage for their own stupidity etc.
If two young lads die as a result of them riding a vehicle which is not allowed on the road, I fail to see why 'society' needs to get involved other than to use this episode to demonstrate to the youth of today that their actions have consequences, even if it's for a tiktok video.
Hi all!

Okay thank you for the advice!
Lexus have good rust protection. So if yours had a lot, it must have been due to poor quality body repairs at some point. Which in turn could apply to anything else you buy.
As has been said, we've been over this many times before. If I recall correct, you are in Bulgaria or thereabouts. We don't know what you can find there, prices or whatever. So rather than us wasting our time suggesting cars you don't think are good enough (or can't get), you look at cars available to you and then, by all means, ask what our opinions of that car is.
