At last, a long distance opportunity to check our 2019 Peugeot 1.2 puretech EAT6 130 computer accuracy - a holiday down to Cognac, mainly motorways (smooth clear French ones, bumpy crowded English ones) with a bit of local driving during our stay.
Starting mileage approx 13,500, so front tyres (presumably providing the info) approx half worn. SWMBO drives cautiously and slowly, so long term computer no. 1 currently reads 6214 miles, 42.7mpg, 32 avr.mph. I drove quickly but economically (cruise control no faster than 75mph even on the 130kph stretches). On return from this 'brim to brim' trip, computer no. 2 reads 1377 miles, 47.0mpg, 48 avr. mph. ... Read more

They make little money on tyres as most folk search on line for the best price.
Upselling nitrogen and wheel alignment - then brake check, shock absorbers, wiper blades, battery etc is the only way....

After a recent new MAF sensor, the car had been running brilliantly. Really quick.
However being French registered, it had to have its Controle Technique, and the slob who was doing this whilst chatting on his mobile phone, left my car ticking over for at least 40 minutes. Now I am finding that the car is not performing as well. Lacking a bit of power and not so responsive to the throttle.... Read more
There’s no reason that leaving the car idling for this time should cause any issue . I presume it’s not overheating . An uneven idle , could be a spark plug , lead or coil problem ? From memory, it’s a 2 coil , 2,lead system.
Hi ,I recently bought a Hyundai i10, 1.2. My problem is when i unlock the car using my key,all the doors unlock except the boot. When i lock the car (drivers side) it only locks that door. I manually need to lock all the other doors. i do not have a remote type fob key , just an ordinary looking key. As never having owned an i10,i dont know if this Is normal in i10? , for the key to only lock the one door. I have checked the fuse and all looks fine

Hi Just had a look for it under the dash (driver side) but can’t see it I think it is probably buried deep under the dash somewhere Possible behind the radio , which would involve removing the dash . As I’m not skilled or knowledgeable enough to do this , I think I will have to leave it for the time being until I can afford an auto electrician
The new Toyota EV, the one with a name that sounds like a chemical formula or is it algebraic has been recalled when barely in production. The car was developed jointly with Subaru who have also recalled theirs. Apparently the problem is with a bolt that could fail. They have identified the problem with only a limited amount of cars produced and none for the UK market. I do not know what the current trend is with manufacturers marketing their EV cars with obscure numbers and letters like VW with their ID3 and 4, nothing much to say down the pub when asked what do you drive.

I wonder if glitter comes out the exhaust
No - the official emissions report stated that the only emission was fairy dust.

Pay the garage, get your car back and then sue them in the small claims court.
Yes, if you don't mind a bit of hassle, and perhaps some further cost. But maybe the threat could have the desired effect.

My advice would be don't bother, particularly if the teen's making stipulations about colour.
