Hi, wondering I could ask for some help/advice.
I currently drive an mk8 Honda Accord but I do find the passenger width at the back lacking. Its fine for 2 but when you start adding isofix baby seats etc it can't really accommodate a 3rd person.... Read more
When we were fitting three child seats in the back, we found the Mondeo was one of the better family cars to hire.

Push button start is very slow to kick in. Foot on brake pedal, it takes up to 2 mins pushing button before it works. Any thoughts, please? Spoiling any quick getaway, otherwise nice motor (only done 10k miles).

Will watch that, thanks again, doc
Have a max of £25k to spend on a new car for the Mrs. Considering used prices new seems the way to go and we can wait 6 months for the car. Needs to be easy to park and an auto. Yaris is the favourite but the PEV 3 cylinder engine is very much unproven based on research. Looking for a good warranty and a car that can last 150k miles without falling apart. Would rather the engine did not have a turbo. Any other vehicle worth looking at?
Placed the order today, used the Car**w site as a starting point but got another few percent off. Price paid cheaper than a two year old vehicle and opted for the built in navigation and protection plus pack. Delivery is 6 month wait but there is no rush as the Mrs has a low miles MK6 Fiesta. Expect list prices to increase further so it was all about getting the order in
Hi All,
I have a 206cc 2.0 Petrol which has the EML comes on intermittently, mostly when the engine has warmed up. The car shudders and feels like it is misfiring when it happens. Have changed the spark plugs and coil pack but still has the same problem.
I have had the fault codes checked and it is showing the following:
P1338 - Misfire Cylinder. 2
P0202 - Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 2
P0341 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
Any help or advice on what to check next would be greatly appreciated.
I also have a message showing for an ABS/ESP fault, which relates to the front passenger side sensor. Not sure if this has any relation to the problem.

Thanks to VW’s inability to give us a build date let alone a delivery date on swmbo’s new ID3, I have managed to talk her into buying a good used petrol or diesel car more akin to my motoring beliefs instead. The search is ongoing but I’m running into the usual problem of almost every used car I look at having b***** awful poor quality paint repairs, missing or incomplete service histories and/or obviously wound back mileages. I can’t believe the condition Honda are allowing their dealers to present so-called approved used stock in. I may buy a cheap runner to do for the time being until I can find something decent. Cazoo shares have fallen from a high of $13.60 to $1.30 in about a year.
I park my car in a small private car park. Someone keeps putting screws in my tryes overnight. I need a small camera on my parcel shelf/rear screen to see who is doing this. My car is old and I am on a budget, but I cannot afford the plugs/new tyres anymore. Is there something battery powered with an SD card that I can set that works on its own without draining my car battery? I only need one camera and I can't spend lots of money on a flashy system.
Thanks. Read more
Ed, yet another instance of your inimitable and ingenious lateral thought. You would be a valuable companion if shipwrecked on a remote island.
Aw Shucks!...
Having driven a 2009 Vauxhall Astra for years, I was recently fortunate enough to be able to lease a new car through work. Having a family who enjoys camping I was looking for something a bit bigger and when a deal for a Kia Ceed SW fell through, I went back to the estate/SUV drawing board.

Well, just thought I'd update on this. I had opportunity to drive another Tucson the other day, this time on 19 inch wheels and it felt pretty much the same as mine, so that's three I've tried now. Clearly it's just how I experience this car.
Thanks for everyone's input!
Ford Focus 06 1.6 petrol manual. I was driving & went to change gear as normal but when I did it felt like a pull as if when you take your foot off the clutch very quickly so I tried the next gear & it did the same changed gear but a big pull with it. A bunch of lights lit up on the dash & steering went hard so basically it had cut out so I pulled over turned the car off waited a minute started it up again & it's been fine since. Just wondering what could this be as I don't want it happening again? Read more
The Ford diagnostics is far more in depth than a standard OBD and will provide codes/faults that an OBD will not even with no dash lights on. Ford dealers or specialists should have it. It you want a go yourself you can download Forscan or Forscan lite for a phone and buy a suitable ELM327 interface device to plug into the OBD port, but depends how Techy you are!

Many thanks for that I'll get on to it hopefully tomorrow and I'll let you know how it goes
Thanks again ...
