Hi. I have an Audi A1 2021 and am looking for the location of the hazard light fuse so I can hardwire a dv750x dashcam. It doesn't show it in the owners manual which is a bit strange. Can anyone help? Thanks. Matt
Ford have announced the end of their large car production .

2 or 3 years ago Ford America announced that it would in future be making only SUVs, given the popularity of that style of car in the US. They love ‘em. So I’m not surprised to learn that the Mondeo is to be discontinued, although that may not be the reason over here. I have a feeling that the Fiesta and Focus are selling too well to discontinue them, but we’ll see.
I do wonder if the craze for SUVs will fizzle out, although there is little sign of that at the moment. I would guess that some new type of vehicle will be invented at some time in the future and then we’ll all go mad for them. I’m starting to ramble a bit with my thoughts now, but maybe the switch to EVs will spawn a completely new type of car which works particularly well in EV form and which nobody had thought of before.
Hi all,
Just had my winter tyres swapped back to the summer set. One of the summers had a bulge so they put the winter one back on that wheel for now. The car drives OK surprisingly. The odd tyre on the front. Car is RWD.... Read more

Keep the winter tyre...
It’s a shame as it’s a truly superb car and in my view far better than many German brands offering but at a far lower cost

Have a 59 Mondeo Titanium X Diesel 70,000 miles. Fantastic car. Roomy. Smooth drive. Powerful. Well built. Solid doors. Hugely underrated. Filled with toys. Never let me down. Going to buy a Mondeo Vignale soon despite Ford phase out. Sad to see my Mondeo go after the sterling service it has given me. Just upgrading and getting newer, thats all. Hopefully, many will panic at the phase out and I can be gifted a good deal for a newer model in a superb range that is already a good deal....

Hello, I am trying too find a hissing noise that occurs when I accelerate and wanted too see if it was definitely a vacuum leak. I have plugged an obd2 reader in and at idle the short fuel trim is going between 0 and - 5. Then when I rev the car up too around 1500 rpm the short fuel trim level is at between 0 and +5. Is this normal?. Also the spark advance is around 6 degrees at idle and goes up too about 33 at 1500 rpm. Also the long term fuel trim at idle is between - 3 and - 1 and goes too about - 0.5 at 1500 rpm
Any help would be really appreciated Read more
If you think it’s got an air leak , your would be better off checking the emissions on a 4 gas analyser .
Hi, Ive recently had the engine management light pop on my petrol car. The obd code is linked to a pre cat oxygen sensor. Before replace that I was told get some vpower petrol in and drive on the motorway aiming for high revs.
Is this true, would seperate additives help... Read more
Most additives are snake oil and will cost more that the extra you pay for the V Power so best avoided
Rubbish. What's V Power, other than regular petrol with additives?...
At the last service the dealer put rather a lot of some sort of brown grease on the door check straps. I was a bit careless while cleaning the interior the other day and managed to transfer some of it onto the plastic part of the door card.
What's the best and safest way to clean it off? Read more
After writing that, I wondered whether anyone would comment...
Would appreciate any advice or experience that anyone could share please. Have come across opportunity to buy a very well spec’d car from a reputable independent dealer. Story is that Porsche cancelled pending sales of diesel Panamera during the emissions scandal and that some cars stayed at the factory, unused. They were then registered in Germany, but not sold, in December 2019.
Dealer has bought in a few of these cars, now on a Uk ‘69 plate and with delivery mileage only. Cars are effectively new, although actually 3 years old and a model no longer produced. On the face of it it’s an opportunity to buy a top spec car at a massive discount, but I’m also conscious that it’s difficult to understand what the actual value of the car is - compared with a normal used car, with very low mileage. Cars are absolutely UK standard in every way and I have access to the Porsche online configuration code for the car.... Read more
Thanks everyone for your thoughts - lots of valid points to consider. I have to admit that I’m struggling to make my mind up! The key thing for me I think is to compare the price I pay with what I could achieve on a conventional 3yr old car with low miles. As Manatee says, once I’ve started driving it and put a few miles on, that’s exactly what it will be!
The alternative would be to be patient and hang on to see what comes up in the Porsche network over the next couple of months as things (hopefully) open up a bit more. There’s not much there that ticks my boxes at the moment, but I should perhaps just try to chill out and be patient!

OP. If you can afford a new Audi you can afford to pay someone to do the job properly.
This gives an idea of what's involved, including a discussion about the issue with fuses staying live after shutdown....
