I’m planning to get a new car battery as my old one is nearing its end of the lifespan. I found this car battery online store, but not sure what to consider before purchasing a battery. Is there anyone who can help me? TIA.
Yesterday was the unveil of the 2021 Qashqai, due in the UK 'before Summer'.
They've gone for range extender with a petrol engine not connected to the wheels but purely to operate as a generator for electric propulsion. And for those who for some reason like pressing a clutch pedal and changing gear, it'll be a six speed manual as well as a proper car.... Read more
Qashqai reliability issues are backed up with the evidence ; European Nissans get some of the worst bits of Renault mainly the electrical gadgets and components.
I had my 2 years old car service in west London Volkswagen in October it’s done 14100 miles from new a month later the car developed a fault I took it back to the same Center they claim the car has lost 25% of its oil and that in one month I have not even driven the car 500 mile and when I question the Center they claim the care manual stating the new car could loose 25% of its oil if it’s driven a 1000 mile if that the case maybe every one should think twice before buy from Volkswagen besides the treble service I got from them and they refused to assist me with a replacement car when the car is under warranty Read more
"Some cars will use oil between services so check the oil level regularly, oil consumption of up to 1 litre per 1,000 miles is normal".....
It most certainly is not 'normal'. It might be 'acceptable' after about a quarter of a million miles, but in my experience, at about 80 - 100,000 miles, normality (which is plus or minus two standard deviations from the mean) is around one litre every 10,000 miles. At over 200,000 miles our old Passat 2.0GL was still managing well over 1000 miles per litre, after a lifetime of the cheapest oil I could find every 10-12,000 miles....

For months I’ve heard people, including lying car dealers, that the second hand market is booming. Because of covid, less new cars have been sold, leading to a shortage of used vehicles, increasing prices. Not even a hint of admitting that finance companies are struggling to process defaults on payments. Well, that giant car park is not fake news and I’m sure it’s not the only one of its kind.
Why the big fat lies and the artificially inflated prices? Read more
I heard PSA are heavily discounting the Vauxhall Corsa to the hire companies. Again, ‘I heard’ Europacar can move then on upto a year old with 15,000 miles on for a profit on what they have paid PSA.That's always been the case with big rental companies - and the manufacturers' "management" cars - the price paid is a mere fraction of list price.

So I hit a kerb some time ago, the wheel alloys are buckled so the garage said I have to change them.
They said there's a 8Jx18 option available for the car, and apparently it's for the Golf GTD so I thought it must be better..... Read more
Don't know about before but the odometer is spot on, checked using GPS tracking.
The actual diameter of the tyre is the same I think, because the speedometer behaves the same as before, compared to a GPS speedo....

Looking at the parts diagram, I would say the radio amp is in the fin antenna on the roof . Looks very similar to the aerial fitted to the Mini cabriolet .

Cast the net as wide as possible at this money. A Honda Accord 2.0 petrol, Mazda 6 2.0 petrol, Toyota Avensis 1.8/2.0 petrol or a Ford Mondeo 2.0 petrol are all worthy options. You’re best avoiding dieeel at this money but an old pre 2005 Passat PD TDi is a great car if you can find one that’s not rotten and neglected.
It looked to me like a link to a battery company who the OP was considering using. Just in case its SPAM I never click on such a link but a few weeks ago Avant warned certain posters about accusing new members of being spammers until proven otherwise.
Avant said to wait and see and that is what I am doing. If it is SPAM then is the time to ban the low life spammer.
