Hi All,
I currently have a 2019 BMW 430D Gran Coupe which is great, apart from the lack of space for our ‘staycations’ with a small family.
I am looking at changing it for something with more space and have a few cars I like the look of! I want to spend around 25-28k for a minimum 2019 model. So far I like the look of the following but need to decide...estate or SUV etc?!!

I fear Bazza's observations may be a few generations out of date. SUV's these days, apart from a select few old school hard core examples (like the Toyota Landcruiser) are monocoque construction, so no separate chassis robbing interior space. Most SUV's these days are based heavily on 'conventional' cars in the manufacturers respective ranges, so there are no heavy duty suspension, axles, brakes or whatever else Bazza is imagining under the skin robbing space. With most SUV's, it is just a car, but taller.

Personally, for what you are describing, assuming you are fine with the complete lack on any handling finesse or driving dynamics, I'd say the Kia Sorento all day long. ...

You mean like Formula 1 car type rigid? They use carbon extensively on chassis and suspension components.

Hi trying to sort my sons car out, any suggestions gratefully received as I don't know whether to spend money or just cut it loose.
Sons car starting to either rev very high or drop suddenly. Throttle body unit has been replaced as was reporting fault and engine was revving wildly. Engine still revving between 100 & 2000 RPM with no throttle pedal movement. Diagnostics showing weird errors such as ABS fault, brake light fault.
Auto electrician suggest that faulty throttle body unit may have damaged ECU or Body control module.
He suggests couple of companies local to me that may be able to reprogram these units to clear issues?

Then reading on here someone was saying it could be HASS MAP any help would be gratefully received, as unfortunately mums money tree is wilting :) Read more

Think you’re jumping the gun here . It could be a fault with the brake light switch. A fault with this can cause erratic idle problems. The switch is an easy and cheap fix .

Driving is an essential skill, but it costs a fair amount of money to learn to drive, pass your test and buy your first car. We need to be careful that we don't make it so expensive that only young people from wealthy families can afford to learn to drive. That would lead to more people driving without a licence, more car theft, and less safe roads. Read more

... I do however think it insane that learners can pass their test without ever having driven on a motorway, that should be part of the learning process....

Yes, it is nonsense that an inexperienced unaccompanied driver can get onto a motorway and play dodgems with the fast lane lunatics!...

Just look at the mess the EU has made of the roll out of the vaccine and compare it to our roll out and you still think we should be in the EU ?

Hi Honest John
It appears the the recall for Citroen C3 only applies to 1.2 petrol engines. So my dealer tells me.

Do you have any other information about this?

I look forward to hearing from you. Read more

With cars like the Rolls Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga pushing the bounderies of how ugly a car can get, it was with some surprise I came upon a car which makes the above two look like swans.

The Aznom Palladium, heard of it?, no?, hardly surprising being handbuilt in Italy in very small numbers (by that I mean ten of them!) to each owners personal specification.... Read more
