Got a 2001 Saab 93 soft top. The roof won’t go down. Tried it manually but the tonneau won’t unlock on the switch. Windows don’t drop etc. No sound from the motor?. Can’t find a fuse or relay for it?. Also the boot light, electric Ariel and boot relapse button not working?. Replaced blown 15a fuse in box by the steering wheel and still nothing?. Are all these connected somehow?.

Bollore wasn't there for very long so unlikely to have had much impact on reliability improvements, although he would have experienced the corporate culture, hopefully he can apply that to good effect in JLR.
I had a hire Captur last summer, you could tell it had been quite hard-used on the fleet but it still felt remarkably solid with no rattles or creaks anywhere. I have come across a few owners and also of the Kadjar, they seem pleased so hopefully Renault sales will now recover, it is afterall a long time since the early models of the MK2 Lagunas, Meganes, Scenics that were not fully cooked when launched. The five year warranty can only help....

Long story short my car has been in and out the dealership 6 times since buying it in Feb, having multiple problems at from oy 26.I've had to fight to get things done under a warranty. Latest was air-conditioning wasn't working. When I got car back from VW I instantly noticed fuel economy was way down from an average of between 47 and 52 mpg to 31 and 37 MPG. Next EML light was in. 02 sensor. Back to dealer, they said they replaced it but my economy is still way down, currently at 33.7. I asked if they had done any software updates and they said no. Anyone any ideas what's up with car? . Ive heard so many horror stories about Arnold Clark. Thank you Read more
VW fuel computers are notoriously unreliable, if you’re basing it on the readings then it’s likely to be wrong. The averages on my wee TDI Polo vary from mid 40’s to the gallon to 65 with the latter figure closest to the truth. When I got it at first I was very disappointed with the figures until I checked for myself.
Don't laugh but my V70 has a leaking screen and my mate gave me some 'Captain Tolley's creeping crack cure'. You just apply the stuff which is runnier than water and it finds any leak, sets in a few hours to a waterproof state. Designed for boats and gets good reviews, here's hoping I've saved the price of a new screen. Read more

I was wondering about the Euro NCAP crash test ratings.
Say for example a car purchased today has a 5 star rating. ... Read more
It's obviously partly about crashworthiness but it is a points-based system and there are minimums that must be achieved across all score categories to get 5 stars regardless of the overall score gradings.
For example, no car can get 5 stars now without a minimum 70% score for 'safety assist'. Safety assist means autonomous emergency braking, occupant status monitoring, speed assistance and lane support.
I don't know the weightings for those but it seems unlikely anything without at least 3 of them will get 5 stars (things like ESP, seatbelt warnings, ABS are now a given).
Actually, I have a bad attitude regarding credit since I hate getting into debt, but my present financial circumstances forced me to consider it. When you're already in a dire situation, I suppose a loan is the final option. I make every effort to have my automobile fixed on schedule so that it will last me longer. I made this decision after thoroughly researching get direct deposit loan via TriceLoans, when I had no money. My car was out of commission as usual at the most inconvenient time, and I needed to take out a loan. My opinion has since changed, it is incredibly handy when you can receive money and address your issue in a short period of time. Read more
