Fine but will this apply to those with hands free set ups incorporated in the vehicle itself and its connected via bluetooth or USB? I use the mobile while driving and only using hands free. It's used solely as a phone and in those circumstances its no different to talking to a passenger in the vehicle. Is there going to be a law making conversation within the car banning all conversations? Read more
Another problem is the communication devices in parcel delivery vehicles. They receive messages querying deliveries and collections notifying the driver by a ring and the screen lighting up . This is a high pressure working environment and the temptation to look at the screen when a message comes in is considerable. Maybe these devices should be located away from the drivers cab?

My headlights are hopeless and I am desperate to upgrade them. I have looked at LED replacements for the Halogen? lamps currently fitted but it seems that there are different types of LED lamps. Any advice gratefully appreciated. Read more
This thread (and the ECP sale) came at a fortuitous time. I've noticed recently that my lights weren't as good as they were, despite having recently given the covers a good clean and polish.
It seems that the n/s dipped beam adjuster (? electric motor?) has failed, but the main beams are low as well for no apparent reason....
Just recently I am unable to get any of the headings across the top of the page to work. For example if I click on "Forum" nothing happens. However on the rest of the page I can click on headings OK. If I use IE then everything works OK. Has something been changed either on the site or with the latest Firefox 50. Hope someone can help with this. Read more
Altered nothing on my own Firefox set up, but see the site is now back to running ok.
Considering a series 2 SWB Shogun/Pajero. I don't know what kind of price is reasonable for a nice example. It won't do many miles so Petrol or Diesel is not an issue. A couple of Pajeros ('96-'98) in Auto Trader for around 2k. I saw a really nice 'J' reg. UK Shogun online but it was priced at 2995. Maybe this is the going rate for a very nice one but I wouldn't know. Anyone here with the knowledge? Read more
Grateful for all the advice.
Hi all,
Looking to buy my first car and have found a 2015 Up! (Move) for £5,300. The only problem I can see is that it has done 29k miles. Am I wrong to be worried by this? Or is that a lot considering it is a 1 litre engine. The car itself seems fine on first viewing.... Read more
Be cheeky and ask for £200 and that service. It'll cost them buttons to do and you don't get if you don't ask.
Im having a timing chain changed today, I believe this involves removing covers including the sump, all of which are sealed with a liquid gasket paste.
Question: When they apply the gasket goo and refit he sump/covers, is any curing time required before filling the engine with oil and running?... Read more
