July 2016
I'm looking for someone in England (preferably) who would be interested in partnering with me in a import / export endeavor. I'm currently in Japan and have partnered up with a local who owns a JDM sports car chop shop and has been in the game for over 30 years. Not only this but he also has a wealth of experience exporting cars. I have access to is online auction account so essentially i’ve already set up everything in Japan.

Good afternoon
In October 2014 I bought a used Toyota Hybrid, which was registered in July of that year. and upon recieving the keys, I was recommended a 3 year service plan for about £550 to cover check ups in July 2015,16,17 so long I had my car serviced at any of the 4 dealers of the same Toyota franchise which was fair enough. I decided to go for a 5 year plan instead for £16per month for 58 months. The money is taken by a 3rd party company on the franchises behalf.... Read more
Hmmmm, Service contracts can be a very good thing, and will save you money in the long term, they are inflation proof at the end of the day, after reading the post, the problem is not with your service plan, but it seems badly handled by the dealer concerned. I sort of understand where the dealer is coming from, however it would not have been the end of the world to service at the correct time and mileage, and simply put the claim through at the later date, it would be unlikely to bankrupt the dealer to wait a couple of months for their money.
I have just baught a car for cash from a trade dealership they couldn't print me out a reciept because the server was down. He says come back and we will sort it for you.
They have told me a warrenty company is going to ring me Monday morning to activate warrenty.i have just rung the warrenty company asking these details they said they don't do ringing people to activate.... Read more

I recently has a break down with my car due to the automatic gear box packing up. It is a 2008 diesel model
The vehicle has been serviced regularly with the dealer and suddenly the automatic transmission stalled after doing about 40,000 miles and on the overall has run up a mileage of 87,000miles.... Read more
Suggest you get a second opinion from an independent auto gearbox specialist. My local one in Kettering told me he had no experience of Toyotas which is a good recommendation.
I would be interested to know if the coolant level is low indicating that coolant has entered the gearbox.
Possibly more likely is one of the control modules has failed, which cost £1200 at MB
Audio up/down switch (a) works in reverse (b) only works in seek mode although manual says should also search up'down through pre-set stations depending on time switch is held. This seems to be a universal problem! Does anyone have a cure please? Read more
Dealer is as baffled as me alas. Says he'll try to get sense from Nissan, not holding my breath though and wondered if anyone has found a cure, as I said.
Hi folks,
After browsing around on this forum for some time, thought I'd make an account for myself to ask about a problem I have.... Read more

Agree with every word of Sid`s. Drivers seem to think that if they can see ok then other drivers can see them. I regularily drive through a tree-lined stretch which is dark even in daylight. Cars seem to appear suddenly coming towards me out of the gloom. It surprises me rather that cyclists or pedestians haven`t been hit. So my advice to the OP is quit thinking about the lights being on and enjoy what is an excellent car. I also drive with dipped lights on most of the time. What gets me is some drivers drive on "sidelights" in poor visibility conditions, unaware that these do not comply with the law.
I bought and now have had my Petrol 2014 automatic Honda CR-V for two weeks. But I've now noticed the brakes are making a grinding and squeal noise when I'm braking, the car has 18500 miles
I just wondered if anyone has had this experience.? I've booked it in at a Honda dealer to have a look at. But wanted to know if the grind noise was normal for the CR-V? ... Read more
The brakes were deglazed and this seems to have resolved the issue. There is still, however, a slight gingling sound but I get this checked by the Honda dealer where I'll have it serviced in a few months time.
Jaguar.
Dreadful customer service.
In early january 2016 i placed an order for an F-Pace based upon jaguar finance quote.
On thursday 14th july it arrived along with an increase over the accepted quote (jaguar finance) from january.

This was queried for obvious reason but as of todays date 21st july, i have not managed to get any response. Thus i am driving a courtesy car while my
New f-pace gathers dust in the dealers car park. (Lancasters tamworth have been excellent and are rather embarrassed by the situation. )
It cannot take over 6 working days to sort out this error (although i suspect that greed overcomes customer relations) and the lack of any communication is just plain ignorant.
This is an appalling way to treat a customer. Outrageous.
Shame on you Jaguar Read more
While not saying that conclusion is incorrect I question why other VAG car made from the same parts don't get the same or near same rating.
To expand the question further is a Kia that far removed from a Hyundia as suggested by the ratings?... Read more
One of the high scoring survey results will have come from me. I've had three Skodas of late :- 1) 2001 Skoda Octavia 1.4(from new and still owned after 120k miles) 2) 2003 Skoda Superb 1.9pd(from 18 months - sold last year with 170kmiles - still on original exhaust, battery and clutch) 3) 2014 Skoda Superb 1.4ts (from 14 months) - so far so good All have been generally very reliable, drive well, pretty economical, comfortable (especially for a 6ft 4" driver) , have great luggage space and my local Skoda dealers have been great (York and Hull) I also currently have a 2006 Fiat Panda 1.2. In the past I've had many cars in the family including two VWs numerous Vauxhalls and Fords, 2 Fiats (still own a Panda) and a Saab (great car). To be fair since i've "properly" serviced cars (never variable!) I've had little trouble (In the past when I owned poorly serviced cars - I had lots of trouble!). Looking back though my Saab 9000cs 2.0 has been my favorite. The most comfortable seats in the business, great cruiser, fast , economical for such a beast (36mpg in Europe!) and was also 100% reliableThe post was not any attempt to discredit Skoda more that the Survey IMHO does not reflect the real world in that many others may have had similar experiences with other brands. My own 30 years of motoring averaging 30-50k mile per year for 20 of them have found VW/Audi had the most issues. BMW/Volvo & Merc the least. My other cars like ford focus no issue but these day I am only doing 6K per year so hardly surprising.
I'm sure we'd all be fascinated to know what a 'sports car chop shop' is (line 2).
