We have a 2011 Picanto that's still under warranty. We drive frequent short journeys - 1300 miles in the past year. Had a full service (independent dealer) last summer and we replaced front brake pads and discs but they didn't mention anything on the rear brakes.
The car failed the MOT today and apparently the rear brake calipers have seized. The bill would be 500£ (including VAT) for replacing the pads, discs, calipers, draining the system and replacing fluids, and the labour. ... Read more

If your badge has peeled/delaminated and you are trying to replace it then Ford have have been replacing badges on cars up to 10 years old for free as it has been such a problem. Just hope your dealer knows about this.

You'd have a valid point only if there are serious faults which you can show are caused by neglect on the part of a previous owner - unlikely unless we're missing some facts....

I've always thought that there's nothing quite like Guildford to drive in, with a lot of steep hills and a high proportion of elderly drivers. Colchester is also a hill town so is probably similar.
When I used to go there regularly, our firm's office was at the top of Balkerne Hill, so coming in from the west via the A12 fortunately I didn't have to get involved in the town centre.

Hi,
A car covered by the Vauxhall 100,000 Lifetime Warranty.... I understand it has to be serviced by the dealer, but do you have to pay for this, or is it included and as such free?... Read more
The car was warranted up to 100K.
Servicing has to be at time/mileage @ Vx garage for the WHOLE of the warranty and is payable by owner....

I suspect the Pads and fluid are not going to be covered so it might be best to get a local indie to do the work.
