Thinking of changing my K13 Nissan Micra by the end of the year and for all this has been an economical, reliable enough car, there isn't much pleasure in driving it. The dealer is also a Suzuki dealer and I quite like the latest shape Swift as it looks funkier and drives better than the Micra, with similar running costs and five doors. Anyone rekon it would be worth moving across to Suzuki as I know plenty of people who enjoy driving them and they seem reliable enough? Read more

Thanks Liam, but I think replacing the seals would be a bit beyond my capabilities! And as other posters have said, it may well not be the cause of the problem.

The windscreen washer pump was struggling to spray water onto the windscreen so I bought another and fitted it but I'm still getting the same result. What else could it be? Read more
Blocked jets or gunge in the bottom of the reservoir that blocks the pick up filter.
When I leave the car for more than about 4 days the battery goes flat(new battery). I have put the car into a local garage and the only fault they came up with was dodgy earth connections which they cleaned.
After locking car and leaving again for 4 days- battery flat again. Leave it unlocked all ok.... Read more
It doesn't have an aftermarket radio does it, that can cause the ECU to not shut down or keep waking up if it doesn't have the correct adaptor leads.

Q: My art dealer wife is seeking to replace her Mitsubishi Space Star – her third – with something that offers the same sort of flexible boot space and ease of loading. What would you recommend? ML
A: By the sounds of things, she needs an MPV, and I’d try the Citroën C4 Picasso (no pun intended). A tall, compact SUV such as the Skoda Yeti may also be just the job. SH Read more
Toyota aren't 'getting back' with Daihatsu - they've held a controlling interest in Daihatsu since 1988, and are now extending their controlling interest to full ownership.
Historically co-operation between the two companies dates back to 1967, and Daihatsu built, and still build, cars for Toyota under contract. For example: the Daihatsu Boon - sold in some markets as the Sirion, Subaru Justy, Toyota Passo; Daihatsu build versions of the Move kei car and Hijet kei van/pickup for Toyota, and these are sold as the Toyota Pixis....

Do you know anyone who owns the 2011- Ford Focus 1.6 ti-vct (petrol) 105bhp version? I own this car and find that it's performance on hills is poor even allowing that it is 100kg heavier than the 1998-2004 Ford Focus. e.g. on a hill in 3rd gear with the engine at 1500-2000rpm it can struggle even when my foot is 3/4 down on the accelerator pedal. Has anyone else had this trouble or heard about it with this model? Thanks for answers. Read more

That would require mechanical sympathy and/or a concept of torque curves. Mybe the OP had a diesel previously (or a large capacity V8)...
Regarding the Nissan Note, if your able to wait until September there will be a significant number of 3 year old new shape models hitting the market.
