I am soon getting a company car, it will be a Renault Megane Estate, 1.5 diesel. Supposedly they are very efficient so the tax will be low. How do people on here rate the Megane these days? You dont see many on the roads, Renault are not as popular as they once were.

I did 100,000 trouble free miles in a Megane 1.6, one of the most comfortable cars I've had. The 1.5dci is a very nice engine, and you don't have to worry about any of the modern diesel foibles that can cost. And it's more interesting than all the Audi/BMW fodder that seems to be in every other drive on PCP these days.
I am 24 years old and looking for motor trade insurance . I have had some high quotes from Tradex at £3500. We have tried a website which managed to offer £3000 with Granite or Acorn.

A few days ago I was involved in my first accident in over 20 years when someone drove into my stationary car. Last time (the same insurance company) had my car picked up and a courtesy car delivered with a few hours with the paperwork following on a few days later. This time they gave me an 0345 number to call. This took me through to Winn Solicitors who spent about half an hour taking down details and said they would e-mail me. My car is dented but drivable. I still have not heard anything and it all seems more onerous than last time. Is it a case of the modern day thinking that everything should be outsourced or?... Read more
No real progress so far. I will be out of action for a day or two (day patient) but will go direct to insurance company (who seem to want me to use these solicitors) if nothing seems to be happening. It just seems to be making something simple unduly complicated.

Please help!! Not sure what to do now. A have a new Jeep on HP. Since we bought it it's been faulty. Been to the garage 3 times and they cannot fix the car. In August we made the complaint to finance company. After they had 8 weeks they asked 3 times for more time, so now its been 13 weeks with them and I haven't got their final response. Got Financial Ombudsman on the case now, and finance company asked for more time again. I'm not using the car and I would like to stop my direct debit, can I do this? What else I can do as it feels like they will keep my money, I'm not using the car plus they will take more money out of me by dragging their final response. Read more

Ombudsman recommended to finance company in November that I have very strong evidences that the car was faulty since we bought (been to the garage 3 times try to fix this plus independant inspection) and it's not a satisfactory quality and he asked the finance company to take the car back, cancel the agreement with no extra cost to me, refund one month of payment as a compensation. So they won't provide me with the replacement car. But they just delaying the final response to get more money out of my pocket.
