Right so we've now established that your car is a petrol. That's a start.
Does the engine crank when you turn the key? Y/N
Is the cambelt broken? Does the camshaft rotate with the crankshaft? Does the engine obviously sound like it's lacking compression? Y/N
Is there an HT spark at the spark plugs? Y/N
Can you hear the fuel pump working? Y/N
Are the fuel injectors pulsing? Y/N
These are the kind of things you need to be checking. No-one can tell you what the problem is without looking. There are too many possibilities.
