How does the i-stop work on the new Mazda3 auto? Does it put excessive strain on parts like the starter motor or is it purely electronic? Read more
No need to worry. Cars with stop/start (most sold now) have heavier duty starters together with special batteries and alternators.
We are on our 3rd with stop/start now and not had a problem.

For radios whose Serial Number begins with an "M", followed by a six digit number, you can use the following link to work out what your Keycode should be:
Does he have some dirt on HJ that he is holding him to ransom to enable him to make those videos? Read more
I seem to in a minority here as I like his reviews. He tests accessible cars rather than super cars and gives practical information in an engaging way. The ones he is accused of copying now seem to be mainly about making the tyres smoke and stupid hyperbole. Same as many newspaper reviews, often exotica and tedious rambling intros make up half the article before the car itself is mentioned.
Mark's reviews strike a balance that I enjoy.
Mind you HJ video reviews are the best but are now rarer.
Simple facts as follows :

Talking about 'the old days', I'm getting on now but remember them clearly. I lived in a North East working class area where coppers did patrol the streets. I was about 7 year old and indulging in a bit of 'Nockey Nine Doors' whereby as kids we knocked on doors and scooted away. Being naive and daft I knocked on the back door to the yard of a terraced house. Of course no-one could hear me in the house as the yard intervened.
Please with myself I reached the last house in the street and turned to run away and around the corner ran into a copper!! In those days most men worked and the streets were full of women shopping, all knew the family. "Walk with me" he said. We walked ever so slowly for some time before reaching his 'Tardis' box where he proceeded to fill in his 'occurances' book. I couldn't see it as I was too small. After an age he pushed open the door and shoved me out, I ran home like as if the Devil was afer me. What had happened to me had reached home and it was a question of "Wait till your Dad comes back"...
I need to change an indicator bulb (front). Manual says go to dealer! No chance.
Can't find any obvious online instruction.
Anyone done this. Can just get my fingers to the underside of the headlamp so didn't know if just struggle on or is it wheel off, liner off. Even seen someone comment that bumper may need to come off! It can't be surely?
Any help appreciated, this sort of nonsense should be regulated against. Can't be difficult for them to make bulbs accessible and strong safety argument that they should be user serviceable.

Does anyone know of a way of cleaning these filters without buying the PiperCross materials.

Haha, yes :-D ...
It may be better to look at one of the 'just add fuel' schemes.
One of my employers had a Toyota MR2 on a similar scheme for his son years ago and it worked out cheaper than if they'd bought the car and tried to insure it themselves. ...
