I WOULDN'T TRUST ANYONE WHO POSTED A REVIEW ALL IN CAPITALS! I'M AMAZED SOMEONE WHO CAN WRITE A REVIEW LIKE THAT CAN COMMAND A SALARY BIG ENOUGH TO FINANCE A BRAND NEW CAR.

Sorry, back to sentence case now.

Hello All, what a story, so I will keep it brief. My HP printer power pack failed, finally found a new one to order. In meantime set up my old Dell, non wireless printer. New software did not have the drivers for an old Dell, so no go ( going begging if anyone interested, live in Kent). Also in meantime the HP was in it's box, which swmbo then turned on it's end when tidying up. The ink from the cartridges(refilled by me) then ran out all over the electronics. Result is HP no longer functioning correctly. Decided to buy a new printer/scanner, but which one? Will never have another HP, there software does not like me re-filling cartridges, is very invasive into the laptop and I am sure plays up deliberately. The question is; which printer to buy? Does the software on all of them resist reiflls? When it is cheaper to buy precious metal than printer ink what is the solution? Any thoughts or suggestions are welcome.

As I understand it Ubunto is built round a Linux core, which is a variant of Unix. The OS has a more robust architecture with better security such that it is harder for viruses (viri?) to cause damage.

I agree Ubuntu is very good....

It's in Australia, so it's badged Pulsar, externally same as the Almera.

In 3rd gear and above it can be made to quietly whine with one's foot moderately down, i.e. accelerating with some enthusiasm. Cruising, no real load on, it's quiet. Foot down a bit makes it whine.

For what it's worth it's a 1.6 petrol. Year 2000, about 110,000 miles.

I would be grateful for any information as to the cause, the cure, and the consequences of doing nothing! And is it a type-specific issue?

Many thanks, braniff7 Read more

Thank You bathtub Tom, this may be it. Capacity is 2.5 litres, the mechanic was able to get half a tube of gear-quietening oil in, plus a litre of gearbox oil. Research uncovered a recent driveshaft removal to replace a boot, which loses some oil. Removing the fill plug broke the first tool, it was in so tight, so we have a smoking gun.

Drives quieter now and hopefully more so as the quietening agent beds in.

Thanks - braniff7

Well it could do with a bit less chrome and black front and rear plus the lights will need work as well, but if it's anything like the other Mitsubishi SUV's it'll be a well built and tough vehicle and a good addition to the range. Now Mitsubishi what about a new Shogun!!

No 106 BHP 1.0 turbo? Disappointing - maybe that new engine is just for overseas markets? Read more

Hope Kia do offer a turbo 1.0 engine. We have a 2011 kia pic 1.0 ltr and its pocket rocket, so we cant wait for the turbo version.

To me it looks more like an SX4 replacement, fitting in between the Jimny and S-Cross.

EDIT: Thinking about it, the Ignis they discontinued a few years ago was almost exactly the same car as this. Read more

It's strange but quite appealing the C-pillar is a bit thick,my only question is that it's a bit too posh looking to be a Jimny replacement Here in Exmoor the Jimny is a popular choice for rural motorists who need a lightweight .no-nonsense 4x4, the ground clearance on this doesn't look too great either and those alloys and fog lights won't stay in pristine condition for long if they're used like the average Jimny. I'd reckon that this is more likely a running mate or replacement for the Swift which would probably sit better in the Suzuki line up giving them another SUV beneath the new Vitara, giving the company four 4x4's with engines under 1600cc

Can anyone offer their kind advice.

I drive a 2.0 petrol bora. The drivers footwell is saturated in water. I can see it running in behind the petals but don't know where it is coming in from outside the car. Some forums say the pollen filter can cause this problem but can it come from there and end up in the drivers side??

Are there drains for water coming off the windscreen. I really don't know where to go from here so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a million. Read more

There are no plastic membranes behind the door cards.

Didn't know that. I assumed it was the same as the mk 1 Leon....
