Hi - I know there was a thread regarding the problems with the bearings and I've tried through Honda to get the bearings replaced under the service bulletin but no go due to the mileage of my car being 100k+
So we (well my other half really I'm just doing the cups of tea!) are looking at doing this ourselves and I'd like to ask if anyone else has replaced their bearings and if so how they got on? He's got as far as removing the drive-shafts but is now wondering if he actually needs to disconnect the sub-frame and steering column or whether there is a way round it?... Read more
The box is out and we have taken it to be sorted professionally. Also ordering a new clutch as you say whilst we're at this stage makes sense to do it now.

recently had egr replaced and have a lag in acceleration at just under 2000rpm had egr replaced again but still have same problem. car drove fine before egr change but engine light was on . it doesnt happen if i drive hard through the gears. started by replacing the map sensor which was caked , car idles and drives fine otherwise. not showing any fault codes so at a loss what to do next. any ideas ? Seems like the MG have done their home work. Asking price of £8,399 for a 106bhp 5-door hatchback seems reasonable.


I would feel that claiming a refund on this technicality is about as fraudulent as the dealer's misrepresentation. I presume there is nothing wrong with the car because of the fake stamps - the work has been done using correct parts and materials, which is allowed under warranty terms these days?...
