I have a Ford Transit 06 plate and can't get the radio to work, the CD player works and you can use the radio itself but it doesn't pick up any radio stations and since its a commercial vechicle that does long drives some of our drivers are getting bored on the journeys. Any one got any ideas as to what i can do to fix it.

Check that the antenna is plugged in at the back. If it is then in might be faulty. try another antenna, (just hold it vertically) and see if you can pick up a signal. I think the transit had a roof mounted antenna?
An old metal coat hanger makes a surprisingly good antenna!...
the cambelt on my mondeo was changed at 69000 miles in feb 2008. It has now done 96000 miles question considering the age of the vehicle and cost of cambelt replacement, is it worth doing ? if so when should i get it done. or should i run it until it goes bang ? Read more
Ford intervals are 100,000 miles or 10 years thus the original change was done by age. However, despite it only being 5 years and 27,000 miles from the change not all cam belts are equal. It a genuine Ford belt was used you are fine for another 5 years or 73,000 miles, if a quality belt was used the same probably applies. If a cheapo belt was used who knows how durable the are.
One things certain, the tensioner and guide pulleys will probably die within the next 5 years as will the waterpump. All require cam belt removal to replace. So if you decide to do the cam belt now get the pulleys and waterpump done, will save you probably £400 in labour.

Hey all,
recently bought this car from a mini dealer and noticed this strange noise when the engine is starting up from cold...and disappears when the engine is warm.
Im due to bring it into the dealer to check it out, but thought Id see what other people think it might be.. It might be normal!
I've uploaded a audio clip here

However.. I think they goofed up the dpf in the process.....
Rear disc pads on my Accord fail to release properly every now and then - not usually both at same time. Calipers have been cleaned and checked over several times - brake fluid changed at service last August. Someone has said that the ABS control unit has been a problem on Accords - is this correct, and if an inherent problem, why hasn't Honda done something about it? Read more
Are you telling us you know of a problem with this cars ABS which keeps the rear brakes pressurized thus not allowing the pads to release? Care to illucidate?
I found 9 other threads about Accord brakes and the only one which had similar symptons to thsi was pads seized in their carriers that simply needed a clean up.

Ok, having foraged around the forums it seems a non-pursuit large engine car used on motorways would be a good buy. So, this car was owned by cambridgeshire police, I'm tempted to call them and ask what they use their Fabia 1.9tdi's for !
