I have an odd heating problem that has just suddenly stated. The AC is fine but I only get mild warm heat on max setting for drivers side. On Passenger side it is only cold regardless of temperature settings. Radiator level is normal. Can anyone help? Read more

Most common problem on these with heating issues is a fault with the electric heater duo valve. This sits right down low on the front subframe.Access is tricky on the v8.These also suffer with water pump impellor failures but this usually shows as an overheat situation.hth

Open the boot lid, and have a look at the 'copper contacts' on the lower part of the 'boot sill', they may need cleaning. Try this first, and see if it cures the issue.

Well, it’s amazing. The miracle has been done. Hat’s off. Well done, as we know that “hard work always pays off”, after a long struggle with sincere effort it’s done.

Can I claim my money back from a main car dealer for charging me for fitting unecessary parts that did not need fitting ? My car is not under any warranty, but I explained the symptoms of the fault and £400 later it still was not fixed. In the end I told them what needed doing (after my own research on the internet) which solved the problem ! Why did they not diagnose the battery in the first place ?
I feel totally despondent now and feel conned good n proper, also are they legally obliged to provide paperwork for ALL parts fitted (albeit some FOC as i created a scene)....I have reported them to Trading Standards. Read more

I'm afraid that it's how the industry works these days.

There are very few 'mechanics' out there now, just a lot of 'fitters'. The problem is especially noticeable with main dealers....

Sounds like you`ve found the problem.Usually when faults appear straight after something`s been changed there`s a link.

You will need to remove all the connectors from the main plastic block and fit individual connectors making sure all connections are secure with no bare wires touching. Then check the fuse box and replace any blown fuses with the correct amperage fuse .
