hi all, i have a 2002 mondeo tdci zetec 130 manual, it lacks a little power, though still drives quite well. My mechanic hooked up his computer to the ECU and tells me the no.3 injector is out. Are these hard to change? should i try having it cleaned, or should i try an injector cleaner first?
cheers

I've just put unleaded into my diesel, the company who sorted me out told me of a new website snip who insure againnt the cost, and if you wrong fuel you become a member of the snip again who donate money to charity. I wish I had known about this first it would have saved me £180!! Thankfully engine is okay. Read more

You wouldn't have any connection with the website would you Kev?

A very quick google suggests he does, hence the removal of the website trying to be promoted and this thread locked.

EDIT - also removed some of the words from the subject header as another quick google finds the website that I just removed.

Overtaken by one today going South on A1M near Wetherby - looked fantastic though I'm not sure doom blue is the colour I will choose. Think it might make a good family car and will consider it when I trade in my Berlingo.

I am about to accept an offer fro my car from these people. They give you an indicative price via the web, come and see teh car and give you a final price then transfer the money to your bank account, then once you have "checked" that it is there they come and take your car ( a few hours later) . I appreciate teh price I'm getting isn't top dollar but does anyone have any feedback on them.
Obviously my main worry is the money dissppearintg bavk out of my bank account and being left with no car or cash!

I was given a 09 plate Micra automatic as a courtesy car while my car was being serviced and it was a truly dreadful thing to drive, i couldn't wait to return it !

Caught the tail end of a discusion on the wireless tonight, apparantly you can now get insurance against misfuelling. Wouldn't bother myself, but in view of the cost involved with modern diesel engines perhaps it isn't a bad idea if you are of an absent minded nature.

Anyone else heard of it?

What's so difficult about reading the word "DIESEL" ? After all, it's invariably written on the inside of the fuel filler cap, and it's written on the handle of the fuel pump. What more do you need? Has common sense gone out the window, or is it just a sign of people rushing around and not paying attention?

Hi, can anyone help me with this problem?

My car is pulling to the right, only on acceleration. Braking and at constant speed it is fine. I took it the the garage and they said the front bushes need replacing. The car is still pulling to the right after these were replaced.

Today, the back right suspesion snaped when i was driving it. Could this have been the cause of the car pulling to the right hand side when accelerating? or is it a separate problem.

Thanks

Hello! :)

I'm having a small problem with my Peugeot 406 2.0i from 1996

The clutch isn't doing its "magic", and I'm wondering if anyone of you know if the clutch to this car is hydraulic or by wire.

There's this arm attached to a string, or a wire if you like, which makes me think it's a wire clutch.

But here's the thing, the people down at Peugeot says this type of car has a hydraulic clutch.
But, I don't see any container for the fluids.

So, does anyone have a clue?

Nah, it's your basic push clutch, so no fiddling about with special tools or anything.

406 ES9J4 (V6) clutch change how to: tinyurl.com/ya2xfpr (obviously not the same but it'll give you an idea)

I've recently been asked my thoughts about the Nissan QX by someone thinking about buying one. I know nothing about them, other then they're big and often minicabbed, so I turned to CBC. Nix. Is this the only car HJ hasn't got any info for? I was slightly taken aback! Am I being myopic? Read more

If you delve back a couple of years into the past of the Backroom you'll find quite a few posts on the QX. One fairly well regarded poster in particular had one which he seemed to like.
