Does anyone here who is really into bikes know of a really food internet based forum like this one, but on motorbikes? I own a Honda and would love to get more info and advice from the net.
Also, are there any well known motorcycle breakers from the internet that are known?

I've reversed into a friends corsa and crunched the door! I've found a good used door for £40 in the right colour, but am wondering how much bother it is to swap the doors.
Do I have to remove the door pins on this model (1998 vintage) or are they bolted? Will the other door fit properly or will it need lining up and adjustment?
Would I be better just paying a bodyshop to sort this & save the hassle? Read more
its a 15 minute job and the new door will line straight up if the door pins arent bent (very unlikely)
you do need a door pin removal tool though unique for this car its literally a thin nut and bolt that drops through the rolled door pin and is then hammered out
brown brother (motor factors) do this tool in their "bodyline " range at £15 all in.
dont forget to swap the door lock over before you junk the door (ive forgotten to do this before now)
I parked at Gatwick the other day and used one of the sites from the internet. On arrival the guy behind the desk put a label on my keys and asked me to go and put them in the ignition and one of their drivers would then move the car to a permanent spot. Now if someone had stolen the car or taken something from it ( this is hypothetical as I left nothing of value in there) how would this leave you with an insurance claim? I suspect the company would say as you left the keys it was your fault.

Just got back after using APH at Gatwick for a week. Nice professional service, helpful driver who did load everones luggage for they, and the car park was clean and secure - you had to drive in throygh a barrier, leave your keys at reception where you were given a receipt. Upon return you presented your receipt and were given you keys, told the location on your car, and given a pass card to open the exit barrier. Forgot to mention - they park your car for you.
And boy do I mean kargarooing! My mum's Mk4 Fiesta 1.25 has developed a severe stutter that is akin to a switch going off and on as power is transferred to the front wheels. I think that this must be an electrical fault - is there a common zetec problem? It s a 1998 1.25 zetec LX by the way. Thanks! Read more
Could it be an air leak or fuel starvation? Seems the fuel filter is under the rear chassis so may not have been changed during servicing.

What\'s for you won\'t pass you by
I understand thatthe "best" polish for water repellency, shine, and protection is those containing carnauba wax.
Had a look on Ebay, and there are many brands....
Can anyone recommend any particualr one, and is "pure" ie. 100% carnauba wax best, and indeed which products are pure 100% wax
Are there any disadvantages with this stuff, or something even better ?
I know some people swear by autoglym, but some say carnauba is better even than this.....
Thanks in advance ! Read more
, or something even better
?
If repellency, shine and protection is what you after, I?d recommend Bilt-hambers Autobalm.
I'll let the pictures do the talking: www.bilthamber.co.uk/autobalmcomparison.html
Silly little thing is this. I press all the right buttons on the standard 6000CD RDS E-O-N player and nothing happens. Sometimes you hear a few clicks. Is there anything inside the CD slot that can be 'poked' to manually eject it ?
Is it a common fault ? Can it be easily fixed ?
Any help please. Vinnie. Read more
Hmmmm; my son did it in my brother-in-laws Vauxhall. Cost was new (refurbished) unit. Tread carefully...

Can anyone tell wether Jerry cans are still acceptable to fill up at garages ?.
I only ask as i have two on my old Bedford RL that i use when i go on long journeys, but i was warned of an incident where a fellow RL owner was tannoyed and told to stop filling his Jerry can as it was not an aprroved petrol can.
He asked to speak to the manager and then asked for a competition where each would hold their cans ,his Jerry and the manager his plastic approved petrol can ,full of petrol over a blow torch and see who chickened out first.
A lot of local gardening services use Jerry cans, they are approved by the armed forces, but garages literature does state to despense fuel in approved containers only.

Hi
I am going to buy a clio, could you give your opinions on which to buy
a) Brand New Clio Campus (oldstyle) 1.2 (8v) from online broker for £5995 (flat colour as metallic is around £350)
b) Brand New Clio Rush (1.2 8v old style,,,, i think this was a special made before the campus was branded and as far as I can tell same spec as the campus) for £5995 from local dealer
c) Ex-Demo Clio Campus (1.2 8v) as a but with metallic finish, has 2000 miles on clock and is on a 55plate, for £5495 from another local dealer
not sure if the ex-demo is better value or not and cant work out depretiation risks etc
thanks

Dynamically the Clio3 is a better car (ride/handling/comfort/noise/ergonomics etc). BUT, its
significantly larger and significantly more expensive. So expensive in fact I
expect Renault will have to discount big time soon in its
life cycle to maintain sales.
£9145 starting price for a modest spec 1.2 three door supermini
is frankly stupid. It is however loaded with safety features as
standard (EBA, EBD, ABS - only lacking side curtain airbags)

This is the problem with small cars. Again they are growing larger with each new model and this seems to have happenend throughout motoring history. A nice car like the Clio is introduced and then has mods. done to it but then a completely new model is introduce which for my partner's needs is now too large to fit our garage. It is imperative that at least one of our cars can go into the garage so that those outside can be manoeuvred about and driven out of the drive in a forwards direction.
Why don't they leave the external dimensions alone - now I suppose they'll start designing and producing a new 'small' car again!!
