I see that official pic's of the 207 have now surfaced.
Question is, do Peugeot still design good looking cars.
I have fond memories of the 205/405 when they first came out, but like a lot of manufacturers their replacements got bigger with no design originality.
The 207 resembles a shrunken 407 with a hatch tagged on to the end. Maybe Peugeot should move away from in-house designs and look around outside. Read more
i am selling my bmw and i wondered if anyone has got an up to date car value book. The ones i find only go as far back as a N reg. It has 97k on clock, fsh (14 stamps in book, mainly bmw) colour coded bumpers and metalic green paint. everything else as standered. you help is appreciated. Read more

Be aware that parts on these are quite expensive. Also I have found that Hyundai leather trim tends to smell rather nasty - but maybe I just have a sensitive nose....
Can anybody give me Glasses' price on this car please, it's a 95 M plate fastback with 97k in mint condition? Help appreciated thanks. Read more
just that HJ said the suspension is prone to go & if this has went & been replaced it would save my brother some dosh & he could drive it for about 4 days b4 something else goes wrong :-)
HJ was and is correct, trouble is it suffered electrical problems as well, some an easy fix and not expensive.others are expensive--parkers price on 97 R is £410 (you have to pay to get prices on older cars)

Brother has one of these giving him trouble at the moment. It turns over but doesn't catch, it ran out of fuel yesterday now it won't start. Injectors work fine but the spark plugs are dry & he is stumped. Anyone any experience of this problem? any tips or help much appreciated. TIA Read more
Have you checked fuel pump, should presurise on ign.if not pump may have failed, not trying to fire along with dry plugs says no fuel

I have a 1.7 engine that has just cut out and stopped when braking and gone no more I appear to have lost compression on the two right hand cylinders. Cam belt is intact, Cams and followers are working. no water in oil or oil in bores if both right cylinder plug holes covered then still no compression. may be head gasket but no problem noticed before hand.
How does variable valve timing work and could it be it is giving me the wrong valve timing if senors fail or something anyone any ideas.

The VVT should default to standard timing if there is a problem.
The electric boot release on my Focus is releasing the boot catch whilst driving (without the dash button or keyfob being pressed). When I stop to close the boot and switch on the ignition, the catch releases again.
I know it isn't a mechanical problem as the latch doesn't release when the car is parked and the keys are not in the ignition. Any ideas or has anyone else come across this fault before.

I'm afraid I can't help with murphy's problem. I can't really help with domknill's either other than to say it's very strange given that the boot release is live all the time so quite why it's doing it when you turn the ignition on is a mystery.
Sorry I can't help.
Just seen the new Jaguar advert.
One question - why's a Yank doing the voiceover?

What Car have shown a preview of the next Honda Accord due in 2008, looks quite stylish IMHO.

Looks quite similar to their impression of the new Mondeo (2007).

I've just come back from a few days in the Lakes. The cottage came with an attached garage. Nice. It had; a tiled floor, good stuff, the sort of things you'd find in a bathroom and not one was cracked, the walls were plastered and painted and the window had curtains up! Needless to say, it was immaculate.
I guess I'll have to evict the mice and spiders from mine and get stuck in.

Mine is STILL not finished, can't get the floor surface coating done, till all the outside is completed, with block paving.
But it does have.....
Securaglide roller shutter insulated door
2 radiators
6 flourescent banks of lighting
8 double powerpoints
Hot & cold water
Seperate toilet/washbasin
8' workbench
3 windows for natural light
& Mrs V's Mx5!!!! Omega lives outside.
These guys know how to do it, though!!

In my original post I forgot to mention one of the best looking Peugeot's of modern times, the 406 coupe.
Compare this with its replacement and you'll see what I mean.
Roberson, your example of BMW is a case in point. For years they did indeed produce cars of all sizes that looked the same.
Then along came Chris Bangle, and the rest as they say is history.
