they are really cheap to buy,and can on lower mileage be picked up for around £250-, 827 will possibly fetch more with higher mileage.But thats to a person that really wants one,ie they like the car and without any bad problems

This one has had brand new suspension, full exhaust & brand new wheels n tyres fitted. Thought it was ok for £500 & surprisingly no rust & all electrics work, bonus.

sorry, but what you have spent on the car has no relation on value,you can spend fortunes on a car-but it does not increase its value,all it says is the car is fit for the road as long as it has MOT..

The 800 Series is big, cumbersome and not very good on the handling side. It was also acknowledged to be somewhat unreliable.

£200 tops. A quick flick through Autotrader will see these old 800's are almost worthless now.
You could try putting it on ebay, maybe £300 reserve. It only takes one person...

I wasn't buying it, my brother likes the rovers (he's got a 620ti giving him grief) & seen this one priced @ 500 quid & thought it was reasonable. I tried to tell him but some people don't listen.

I know it doesn't increase value, just that HJ said the suspension is prone to go & if this has went & been replaced it would save my brother some dosh & he could drive it for about 4 days b4 something else goes wrong :-)

when NEW they were unrelaible. (I had 3 company ones). HG goes. Exhausts go. E windows go.
Avoid like plague.

HJ was and is correct,trouble is it suffered electrical problems as well,some an easy fix and not expensive.others are expensive--parkers price on 97 R is £410 (you have to pay to get prices on older cars)
