My daughter is a student living away at uni. Where does her car need to be insured - home or at uni?

My daughter is a student living away from home. She owns and insures her own car, which remains at our home address during term time, this being her registered insurance address. She does visit home every 3-4 weeks or so and uses the car at weekends. My wife and I are registered drivers and we use the car once a week for local runs. Our daughter would like to take the car back to university for a couple of weeks at the end/beginning of term to make life and commuting back home easier. She lives off-campus in a residential area. Does she have to let the insurance company know that for this period the car will not be stored at home as stated on the policy? Advice appreciated, many thanks!

It depends on where your daughter spends most of her time. If she spends most of her time at home, it's fine. If she spends most of her time at uni, then it would need to be insured from there. If she was just taking it for a couple of weeks, that would be fine.
