  • Ford Mondeo - Buyers' rights 2 Aug 2010 (Forum)
In March of this year I purchased a one owner Mondeo Ghia V6 Auto with 22500 miles on the clock from a local Ford main dealer plus a "Ford Protect" extended 2 year warranty. I became concerned at the lack of power when climbing hills and returned the vehicle to the dealer for check in June. I was informed that no problem could be found.

  • Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 02 1.8TDCI Kangarooing!! 3 Feb 2010 (Forum)
Hi, I am having issues with a Ford Focus 1.8TDCI 02 plate. It started off with the engine finding it hard to turn over in the cold so i had the glow plugs replaced. This seemed to fix the issue. However, ever since then (i'm not sure it is related) i noticed the car felt like it was kangarooing with a loss of power.
  • Ford KA, KA2, KA3 (1996 - 2008) - 99 1.3 Roof bar fitting confusion 8 Sep 2009 (Forum)
Hello I've removed a pair of Ford roof bars from an old Ka prior to it being scrapped. I'm trying to fit them to mine but am having problems. These ones: http://www.fordsparts.co.uk/product-info/karoofbar They are the genuine Ford bars and everywhere I look they say they fit ALL Ka's, but when I peel back the rubber roof trim to look for the little screw holes to attach the roof bars there aren't any.
  • Ford Fiesta (2002 - 2008) - 2003 1.25 Emissions Light On (P0420) 8 Apr 2009 (Forum)
I am suffering problems with my 53 reg Ford Fiesta 1.25 Finesse, whereby the emissions light keeps coming on. Initially the fault was diagnosed by the recovery service as requiring a new Cat, which has been installed, the garage also advised of requiring a new O2/Lamda sensor, which has also been installed.
  • Ford KA, KA2, KA3 (1996 - 2008) - 05 1.3 ABS rear drum sensor ring question. 5 Apr 2009 (Forum)
Have ford given me the wrong part or is something amiss. At present the abs light is on due to no signal from the rear sensors. Will the old style ring fit my car or does the abs work differently on the later cars.
  • Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - urgent advice needed - Failed PAS. 26 Mar 2009 (Forum)
Hi ladies and gents. I need a bit of advice. My 2006 Ford Focus 1,6 Zetec Climate (58,000 miles) is 1 month out of manurfacturers warranty and this morning the power steering pump failed. Ford have offered to pay 25% of the bill (before VAT). My 2nd problem is that during the vehicles 1st MOT last month I was advised there was a "very very minor weep of oil coming from the sump" (testers words).
  • Ford Focus II (2004 - 2007) - Best car, worst car 3 Mar 2009 (Forum)
It's amazing how Ford appears to be going backwards in terms of reliability and quality. And don't even get me started on the dealer network! Perhaps this partly explains the blue oval's current problems. Am I unique in buying a new model of a car that's much worse than its predecessor?
  • Misfuellers and money soon parted 14 Feb 2009 (Ask HJ)
Can you tell me if Ford Easy Fuel, that prevents drivers from filling with the wrong fuel, is available as an add-on accessory? I have a 2004 Mondeo LX...
  • 03/53 - Ford Mondeo TDCi or Skoda Octavia TDi 16 Nov 2008 (Forum)
Hi. I've been looking at the Ford Mondeo and the Skoda Octavia, both diesel variants. The Mondeo has always played in the top end of its class but, from what I can see and what I've heard, the Octavia may be equally as good an option.

  • Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - (98-04)1.8 Zetec. Dealer overfilling of engine oil 22 Dec 2007 (Forum)
I had my Ford Focus 1.8 petrol serviced recently and the ford garage overfilled the oil by about 1/4 inch. I drove the car like this for about 200 miles before I realized and took it back to have some drained out.
  • Ford Dealer in USA 27 Sep 2007 (Forum)
The back room often has comments about dealers in the UK. In case anyone's interested, here's my recent experience of a Ford main dealer near Chicago. I had the 30,000 mile service on my Taurus (sort of a Ford Mondeo/Sierra type of vehicle for anyone who's never been here) I got to work and they phoned me with some stuff which 'needed doing'....
  • Ford focus engine warning light 5 Mar 2006 (Forum)
Hi everyone, My dad's ford focus was recently serviced by a local mechanic. After the service the engine warning light came on and the car was running badly. He took it back and it turned out one of the spark plugs was cracked.
  • Ford Focus TDCi engines 115ps vs 100ps 7 Jan 2005 (Forum)
Also, from new, did buyers specify what engine they wanted(115ps or 100ps), or did it change by year/month. Ford have the two engines listed in their price list for 2004, and parkers doesn't specify. Insurance companies want to know which version you have. Any help would be appreciated. Brian Queally
  • Ford Mondeo TDCi resonance 10 Aug 2004 (Forum)
Not horrendous, but it spoils the refinement of the car and is extremely annoying. The workshop manager at my local Ford dealers came out in the car with me and identified it as being caused by the turbopipe vibrating against the chassis rail because of inadequate insulation. Ford know of the problem and have produced a fixing kit for dealers, which the WM fitted.
  • ford galaxy Air Con 7 Aug 2003 (Forum)
However if I wanted I could get a belt that did not drive the air con, but would have to do without air con, loooking at how much I have been quoted for air con, I decided to do with out it, but the Ford garage I have contacted say they have to put the belt round the compressor and cannot fit a belt to drive everything else without the air con. Please help me; are Ford ripping me off? Can I get belts that drive everything else and do not need to go around the compressor or am I going to have to pay out £700?
